most groups form through Discord, and then they just join an instance. this makes it hard to just randomly be in a coordinated instance
And the few spots that could be opened would be filled in lfg, but at that point quite a bit of people competing for a few spots

plus in lw season 2, if you beat a duty and miss the ahcievements you dont have to fully redo the chapter. after you finish the chapter you click to redo it, and all of the duties are just there on the map for you to do for the achivements, wihtout having to do any of the other stuff
so you can play through it once for msq, getting them if you can, and then if you miss any just spam the duties till you figure them out, or follow a guide
you also get good drops for clearing the lw achievements. i got an ascended ring

Dashes are usually longer range, but leaps are usually a bit faster, have a finisher, better air mobility off a cliff, and less susceptible to lag

the pistol pistol is 1 button, just spam unload
i was doing pistol dagger, but it's just, stealth -> sneak attack, then spam 3

thief has no cooldowns but initiative so with few exceptions it generally always revolves around 1 button
the utilities are what make the builds, either you spam stealth to get sneak attacks like rifle and dagger, or in the case of staff you just press assassins signet off cd

yeah, coming from elementalist where i use 90% of all buttons and the extra buttons too, it just fells lacking

spear is the only one that works differently since you have to combo skills together for more effectiveness
and of theres stuff like spectre shroud which give more buttons that have traditional cooldowns
but the base is just the byproduct of being able to spam the highest damage/cast time skill without any cooldown
the lack of cooldowns also mean to maximise your effectiveness you need to dig into the weeds of how skill queueing works

D/D or S/D both still play heavily around stealth and burst windows
keep in mind, anything you do on daredevil, you can basically do on core thief, albiet slightly differently, but the amount of stealth and shadow steps are roughly the same
but core thief technically has higher power burst since it opens you up to using signet and lets you have more dmg modifiers

yeah i learned how to the the teleport, but all that duel was just the thief poking him with 4 for filler dmg and doing the 5 + steal combo, and the last one was even the auto attack

which is the core mechanic behind the stealths though
you can refer to other videos on his channel it just that clip was short and recent enough
The timing of him dancing around the reveals vs natural drop in stealth to avoid penalties is also pretty good, against a good thief you barely see them hit you in their burst cycles
alternatively, mesmer can utilize stealth a ton, but has a much more complex burst depending on the weapons being used
but yeah stealth in GW2 has come a very long way, almost no super long durations anymore because it's really toxic playstyle to play against. instead it's just about in combat stealth most of the time, less sneaking around forever as a design choice

The way to see that in efficiency is the crafting page
Just put mithril ingot as the thing to craft, and you should be able to see the difference between sell price and crafting price
Not the most ideal way, but at least there is a way to see
You can see the ore needed is pricier than the ingot made, so for now, selling the ore is better by just a bit

Gs 4 is quite good to spam. And gs 5 is a great pull if you cancel the end lag
Gs can sometimes be good for condi reaper in end game pve depending on the patch since reaper has the "chill does bleed" trait
Chill is also probably the best condi in pvp alongside blind to me, but thats subjective

I dont really combo them together. When I did play gs, I just pull to engage to burn their dodge or stun break. I pop 4 on point and immediately either swap wep, shroud, or both
I also used pull just for enemies that are disengaging
Necro is not a class I play a ton of in pvp tho, so take it with a grain of salt

i think pve creaper used gs for a bit before weapon mastery because necro base weapons were awful and you unironically did damage by doing gs and shroud whirl finishers on ice fields
it was a funny meme cuz combo fields were a bit buggy for the longest time and you couldn't guarentee you did finishers on your own fields

You use Necro GS in more organised WvW fights because boonrip on GS4 is as powerful as a Well, and catching 1 or 2 players with GS5 can swing the fight.
The fight rotation in the first 20 seconds of WvW organised fights usually goes: buffs > clash and boonrip > CC/pulls. If 2 supports get pulled and killed at the start that’s 2 parties/10 players out of the fight and instant GG. It doesn’t look good on the meter but the impact is massive.

There 9 days left to do the festival achievements and I think technically you can do them all on the last day but most of them require scheduled events and you usually need to do the events multiple times. The game encourages you to do them daily since events have daily bonuses. Get started now if you want to actually do this.

no, binding it to your account / using it unlocks it for the account, you just need transmutation charges to use it on future non-legendary staves. might be a bit short on transmutation charges to start with but usually unless you change your skins a lot you'll have more than you know what to do with before too long
