from there you can use them yourself or salvage the ectos themselves into crystalline dust which are usually worth a fair bit

i don't think healing in gw2 is to the point where you can ignore mechanics, and most of the training runs i've been in have been asking for people who want to learn/do the mechanics since there usually aren't enough of the very experienced players to do them all

Depends on experience really, training runs they'll ask if you have done the fight before and are familiar with the flow of it, then see who needs to do mechs
good thing is that dps does mechs for roughly half of the bosses

there's a farming route called "Silverwastes RIBA" that may not directly gaurentee you the mastery points but you'll likely get some as a side effect of just doing it

i think the only legendaries that are behind the last level of the core legendary mastery are the gen 2 weapons, and unless you really really like one of those skins you're better off going for armor or trinkets since they are way more useful than legendary weapons
especially now with the easy gen 1s from wizards vault legendary choice boxes the gen 2 weapons are a lot of work/gold for a skin

i would follow a build for stats etc. but you can replace the ascendeds with exotics for most of them, though fractals start requiring ascended pieces towards the end of t1 progression

i think there are a few settings that turn down friendly players' effects and turn up the enemy attack borders but visual clarity is one place gw2 really struggles

If you're really interested in WvW, I really would suggest going into a discord, asking about builds/classes, and gearing out appropriately
WvW is genuinely the hardest game mode to get into due to the time commitment and the learning curve, which gets deeper the more classes that get put out
it's also the deepest in the game when it comes to theory crafting a comp for the size group you run.
it's why the people that play WvW, have been doing so for a very, very long time.
the highest of highs definitely come from WvW

i always added sigils to exotics, if the superior sigil is really expensive the major sigil is usually a lot cheaper for just a little bit less performance
like superior force is 5% and major force is 3% and usually just a couple silver. also superior accuracy is pretty cheap and that's meta for a lot of builds now

on the note of ascended if you beat the HoT campaign there's a really useful ascended weapon you can get that you can nearly freely stat swap and change between being a sword, greatsword, dagger, scepter, and shield
