It's not even just that scene

As you said, the SP hourglass is gone, so the green adventurer is also gone

#

But the ending of the game is the same, so you still get pointed towards Second in some way + the Ba'als are still there as well

#

I don't think the gyro thing is the issue with the cutscene, because the augmented reality scenes are still in the game and you can simply turn the camera around with basic controls

#

I'm thinking they could do the most meta thing, as they usually do with these games, and eventually announce BSHD, which would lead them to update BDHD in order to add these elements back in

#

Because one must also note that the original release for Default did not have anything related to Second either; no hourglass, no Ba'als either iirc, as they were all added in the "For the Sequel" version of the game, which is the one we got in the west
