this makes me think, maybe having games with no tutorials at all, that encourage the player to experiment and take notes of this and that, see what works or not, etc, maybe it is all good for player agency, for cultivating the player's curiosity

at some point, you're bound to reach a state where you understand the mechanisms of a game and everything becomes even more enjoyable

If you're responsible and using the pull currency as a rightful part of the game, I can see that same fun in managing it. In that same logic, I think it ruins that fun to whale and get everything in the blink of an eye; you lose all the agency of managing your resources 🤔

There is also the risk of being less involved with the core gameplay of the game if you whale for dupes in most gacha these days, where a fully invested character + dupes nearly destroys all sense of team building and strategy in general, you just press buttons and win

Umm depends if you wanna play the new content right on release, if not then its probably better to just wait for the release. They are reducing grind, and rebalancing. Also adding assist mode as an option to all of the base game to make it easier and faster for players to reach the new content
