I never got deep into pokemon mystery dungeon but I should sometime. The gba version of the first game is on the gba switch emulator, and the ds version of it was remade for switch.

at this point, any first party release on both will save extra content for switch 2 because we've seen that for any release that was within a year before and after the switch 2 for the most part (whether it was because of Switch 2 features or tech limitations)

But in the case of DE's, while it likely won't have extra content (because so far most 1st party DE's just bundle it all), there is a chance that remaining Switch 2 Editions will have extra content. (I don't believe Monolith Soft or Platinum Games titles would count for this because they aren't in charge of central IPs like Pokemon/Kirby/Mario/Zelda)

TLDR: The generation leap into Switch and then Switch 2 is the weirdest any of the platforms have ever seen so it depends on the game and IP
