My XBox controller randomly stops responding while playing. It is still connected to my computer but I get no responses in the game. Has anyone else experienced this.?

What controller is it? Series X|S or Older? Are you using wireless or wired? I have some Xbox Series X|S controllers. If using wireless have you updated the firmware of the controller? If you dont have xbox to update the firmware, you can use Windows computer and use "Xbox accessories" from the store and update your controller firmware.
I have exprience of one controller that after a lot of use developed issue with usb-c connection. Even a slight movement made the controller disconnect and after that it would not reconnect automatically back. Also with that another game (Trials) would crash every time the controller disconnected.
