One of my few criticisms of Rumble is that the fights are almost entirely conducted at "neutral", a decent distance away. I would very much like to see some shift stones that encourage much more up close gameplay, and provide more avenues for approach. I think Flow is a step in the right direction here, though its potential is limited a bit by the overall lack of incentive to get close to your opponent.

It would be neat if there was a move(s) that are extremely short range but powerful within that range, to incentivize closing the gap on someone. Could be something like stone fists you punch with, or a spike that you summon out of the ground at angle, that is rather short and automatically breaks after a second or two. Anything to encourage a more bruising and in-your-face style of play.

Once we have something like that, the movement options like flow would compliment the game more. You'd have a reason to use it to approach people.

I'd also like to see something that allows you to "curve" the trajectory of your dash, so you can potentially dash around object, rather than merely traveling in a predictable straight line.

TL;DR Close range combat is not very viable and creativity of movement in game is somewhat constrained by the lack of incentive to fight in close quarters.(...)

I think running fills the niche of "curved dashing" pretty nicely. Saw a skilled player doing circles around me, just running around. Extremely annoying to hit, lol
