Tip to trigger a save: move something in the inventory, go to main screen, see the save happening right away or after a few seconds

I don’t (edit: log out), just do the save dance, and never had problems switching devices

I just kill the process on the device I quit, and start a new one on the device I switch to. So at any time only one device have the game “running” with the account logged to

Assuming of course it will do a thorough save

When you log out, it may happen the game is not aware that the game state is no longer equal to the saved state, so the logging out don't trigger a save. That is why moving a piece in the inventory is a better way, because it makes the game aware that the state was changed.

This is the bug in essence I think: some of the state changes are not detected

Using the dressing room also forces a save.

I reported salvage being restored after logging off and Travis said he couldn't reproduce it.
