Currently, there is no such feature where you could "switch" the controller of your UP.
In simple terms what you'd need to do, considering you have private key to the controller address you want to use, is:
- create a transaction where new controller address is being granted permissions on your UP. Not possible to trigger from the extension. There needs to be a dApp that will be able to create this transactions;
- import private key of that controller address into the extension if it's not there yet (currently not possible);
- reassociate your profile with a different controller address within the extension (currently not possible).
I think this will be possible to do someday but it's not in plans right now. I suggest you transfer some of your LYX to the controller that has permissions to act on your profile as the fee is miniscule.
Just checked, a transaction to transfer LYX had a fee of 0.000105 of LYX.
The downside is that if you want to split controller address funds, not the UPs funds, you need to do this from a MetaMask, currently.
