Create a role for the continental tournaments (e.g. euros or copa) so users who are hailing from another continent don't have to pick a country. During several conversations users have been harassed for being NPCs or plastic. This does not support the conversations itself and is just unneeded banter.
Same should be done to access group channels - e.g. as a german I picked Germany but can only see group-a - why? I might be interested in the conversations going on in the other groups but I can only do so by picking a country role which I probably don't want.
