Im aware that it was mostly inactive for a while but its been a great opportunity to have great and fun many chats over the years.
Allowing only 18+ on a channel makes the chat more mature but naturally can come with adults being busy and not active all the time.
And with this latest “find your own channel” update also couldve prevented more adults from finding the channel and engaging
(it sure does prevents me from finding relevant chats easily to chat, its not practical at all, but thats topic for another feedback)
So in my opinion keeping it wouldve been so much better.
Now with Euros on the way, the raising activity can bring more members to #happyhour channel (might need to make it more reachable for adults to find)
#Deleting Happy Hour is a mistake

Hi
Appreciate the feedback and good to know there were users that appreciated it while it lasted.
The idea itself originated from us and I believe we did what we could to help it thrive. That didn't happen, even though there are currently over 20,000 users with the relevant role.
Sure, that figure means nothing if there aren't enough active users out of those 20k that chat in the channel, but that's really the question - why wasn't there much more activity?
We are and always will be open to reinstating the channel - if someone comes up with a better way to ensure it will be active. I can't think of one and I tried.

Thank you for the answer,
For the moment i could maybe suggest a name change to make its purpose more obvious and finding a way for people to find it easily rather than the choose your own channels version of finding the channel, this way would allow new people who probably will join the server during euros to give it a chance.
I see where youre coming from and i understand it and like i said im also aware its been less active lately.
But its active members are adults and sometimes having even less activity should be understandable in my opinion.
This is personal but this channel was one of the best chat channels ive chatted in discord and seeing it gone makes me personally sad.
Im happy to see youre open to suggestions to revive it, i cant sadly ensure that it would be active but i will suggest more things as it comes to mind. Thanks
I'll reply to your message at some point. But I'm waiting to see if there is anyone else with feedback, because it it's only you and me talking about this, this just points back to the channel not being active enough / people didn't care for it much
To be fair to imminence, the 20k people that have the role; how many are active? And how many of the active ones are active outside of football chat?
Happy hour got quieter during the recent conflict in Israel and palestine due to our most active users being from that area
