before that they won all 7 of the 7 possible matches
and yesterday they drew 0-0 with Arka
I'm honestly surprised Arka isn't battling relegation but there are far worse teams like Sandecja so that probably
Fortuna I Liga is so bad this year that the playoff winner will 100% get last place in Ekstraklasa next season
ŁKS is doing surprisingly well also, I expected Termalica, Miedź or Radomiak to top it

that match was something else
Really is

Any news on what network is getting Ligue 1 in Poland?
@empty needle none is
dont you know al nassr is signing ozil for 90 million and mata for 60 million?
@rocky terrace Al Nassr made a bid of 5 million not 90
also both players are past their prime
@rocky terrace Al Nassr made a bid of 5 million not 90
@dire comet It wasnt 5 million
CSL, J-League, Qatar Stars League >>> Saudi league
infact al nassr signed martinez
not lautaro
CSL, J-League, Qatar Stars League >>> Saudi league
@dire comet So does this mean sadui league is better
me still no understand ngl
BRUHHH
because if Al Nassr buys 3 overrated CAMs and calls themselves the best its not a good sign for the league
also ffs Michał Janota is a star CDM there
Michał Janota is an Ekstraklasa flop
They bought martinez, paying for ozil and mata.
3 players in the same position and all past their prime
well maybe maybe Dawry Jameel is the best in Asia
but not 6th best in the world fot sure
also its kinda #762884571615723521 material because there are ppl who know more abt it

They can’t compete in the Asian champions league tho to low level
@sage swallow you know indonesian league?
Maybe they should host World Cup in like Indonesia+Malaysia
im impressed
I’ve seen a video about it but don’t follow it to much
im from indonesia myself, but i hate the violence are just too much over there
fanaticsm is the worst
Yeah you know football has gone to far when people are dying
we have cases where 3 people were dead because they got into a fight
its tragic man :((
we have cases where 3 people were dead because they got into a fight
@hazy tusk in Italy it's common
Perugia fans threatened to hang their players and threw rocks at their houses when they got relegated
@hazy tusk in Italy it's common
@dire comet mostly because of ultras?
yes
oh yeah italy ultras are crazy too
in Ecuador some players were once locked in the stadium for 3 days because the ultras grouped outside the building and camped for them with actual weaponry
idk what club was it tho
maybe Liga
I think the “best“ fans are Sweden or Turkey or SA
Morocco have very good fans too
🥱
your favorite league is a farmers league
Morocco have very good fans too
@hollow iris yeah, Wydad and Raja Casablanca
Ittihad Tanger, FAS Rabat and other clubs as well have great fanbases in Morocco
your favorite league is a farmers league
@zinc wedge more than sevilla
Macclesfield Town is now Macclesfield FC
@modern orchid glad they’re reformed. No team deserves to fold
Oh my
reason why i'm excited is that he was our old coach in Vancouver
So Aidan now goes for Western Sydney Wanderers
Nah, Just because I like the guy doesn't mean i have to to support the club he's at..
Ew western sydney
Lmao
there was that one time where I was up and i watched Sydney FC for a few game mins
but that's about it
K
Noice
Regardless of what happens I hope the best for Carl for his next move
Newcastle as it is has him, Kenny Miller and Bernie Ibinie at the club, all former Whitecaps players or coaches
Ew western sydney
@sudden parcel 😮
Why are you surprised kekw
I mean i don't know much about the club other than a youtuber i watch supporting them so
I found my prediction for last season's championship
I checked it and I got 1/24. Derby to finish 10th
but got 2/3 right for relegation
I predicted Luton to finish 16th XDDD

We All Love The “Magic” of the PL
Championship gang is where it at
😛
also the Liverpool 7-2 will be forgotten the moment they win the league with 11 points over 2nd place
Championship gang is where it at
@balmy torrent I can proudly say I have seen as much Championship matches as EPL last season
Do you want to know my current ratio of Champ to PL?
Watford-Leicester, Wolves-Man City, Man U-Leicester and Leicester-Man City vs Nottingham-Fulham, both Swansea-Brentford legs and the playoff final
Do you want to know my current ratio of Champ to PL?
@balmy torrent yes
that's quite a large advantage towards Championship
or other EFL clubs
cool
I don't watch english football at all nearly so yeah
I must admit I watch more Bundesliga than 2.Bundesliga and more Ekstraklasa than I Liga though 😔
93:9 including EFL + playoffs
Including non league further pushes it lol
you watch english non league? How is it even broadcasted in Wales
You don’t want to know how kuch football I watch lol
Wales is basically England realistically (bar culture). It!s shown on BT every now and then
Welsh League is fun to watch tho
I have a spreadsheet lol
its not even half of October 😳
could’ve probably pushed to hit 600 if I wanted
But school and uni application are obviously priority
I just watch what's on TV when I'm totally free, only Poland, Legia and BVB are priorities
now that I'm in HS I'll probs have less time unless I get my shit together and don't procrastinate
I make time for Cardiff and Wales, given I support them. Used to attend matches sadly that’s a thing of the COVID past
or if I just stop caring abt science subjects maybe I'll find more time
I cant get a better grade in maths or science than 3 so I cba anymore
we also have very little leagues on TV so
We have a load on TV tbf
I’m really really sad that Turkish got taken off
Really sad
we have like 15
or less
lemme count
Ekstraklasa, Fortuna Liga, Bundesliga, 2.Bundesliga, EPL, Championship, Czech League, Eliteserien, Österreichische Fußball-Bundesliga, LaLiga, Liga NOS starting from the upcoming weekend, MLS, UCL, UEL
and sometimes singular matches of A-League or LaLiga2
and of course all the domestic cups and supercups
we used to have Ligue 1 but no one watched it so they took it off
Czech League too
@balmy torrent oh god no this shit is worse than Ekstraklasa
entertaining but football quality wise it's awful
it used to be competitive until the Chinese bought Slavia
and then Slavia poached every single good player in the league
if there was an interbalkan league yeah maybe
I watched a serbian league match once, Partizan vs Napredak
I know the politics, but that kinda added to it
They had a great rule
Penalties after every draw (so they were class at pens)
But the great rule is:
Players u25 couldn’t play abroad
So they’d develop with “Yugoslavian Principles” then be shipped out
Also effective at maintaining talent
theres no single good polish prospect thats still in Poland after the age of 23
we have a rule that every team must field at least one u23 pole at every time though
No welsh NT player has been in the Welsh League and been called up to senior squad
Maybe says something about the clubs tho
Fair enough
I think we’ve only had Neil Taylor as the only player to have previously played Welsh League
and NT
(in that order)
currently our starting CM is Moder from Lech (although he's a great talent and is loaned from Brighton so), backup LB/RB is Legia's Karbownik (same situation as Moder, also loaned from Brighton), and Jędrzejczyk or Błaszczykowski were usually called up as backups in case of an injury, nowadays it's only Jędrzejczyk left and he's called up once per 5 international weeks
I think we’ve only had Neil Taylor as the only player to have previously played Welsh League
@balmy torrent most were born in England I assume?
A large amount were yeah
Ireland and NI have that problem too I think
Scotland on a lower scale because they do have some reputable clubs after all
I counted previously. The last
43:
21 born English
19 born Welsh
1 born Scottish
1 born Irish
1 born German
who was born german
Back Up GK
hm
Currently at Stoke, used to be at Barnsley
flashscore says he's at Stoke yes
had a great season at Barnsley
but doesn't show any german team
“Davies was born in Rinteln, Lower Saxony, with his father stationed in Germany while serving in the British Armed Forces.”
wait did he have a TOTS in fifa 19
Yeah
ok so I know him then
I play career mode only and solely for challenges like 'win the UCL with an entirely Oceanian (Aussie doesn't count) team
or smth
I made a Papua-New Guinean David Browne have 85 overall while his potential is like 73
Daaaamn
with the dynamic potential
tbh fifa and FM are how I remember players from the leagues I don't watch
Entire career mode
like epl or efl
I played 15 seasons of Jann-Fiete Arp career mode in fifa 20 and thats the only time I completed it
And the 30 seasons
never played fm touch
stil vibin' with that FM19 😎
Im shit and can't do wonderkids though
Same
the only way I win titles is by consistency because I can never beat my title rival head to head
if they are good enough to start they stay
I never get any decent youth players
I buy them from Brondby or smth
In my 18 years as Cardiff manager, we never had a single promotion from youth squads
How are you Aiden
Apologies for filling this w/some gaming
Ehh, it's fine
i'm just estatic that the MLS is deciding to have something that we can send our real youth players too, speaking of the youth
like
he has Canada as his 2nd nat
because hes romanian
but he signed his first pro contract
before that it was just junior ones
name is Theodore Corbeanu
Ahh ok
I’m glad we have this home away from #755820035754426398
Yes I'm happy about that too

I think it’s a stupid deal

The highest wage earner in Burnley earns 50k a week
I heard rumours that the media are overreporting at 60k/w
around 25k/w people from both sides are saying
I disagree w the Burnley earning. Given the max w us (45k/w) in the PL which was the lowest by some way... Hudders 60k/w

Rafa's Ekstraklasa of the Day Vol.1 17.10.2020
First game of the day was a relegation 6-pointer, despite both teams finishing top 5 last season. Piast with a terrible start having scored only 3 goals in 6 matches, of which five were lost and only one drawn - vs Warta Poznań, who has arguably the worst squad in the league arrived to MKS Cracovia stadium in Kraków to face the city's second biggest team who also had a poor start to the season, but mainly because they were punished -5 points at the beginning due to a corruption scandal that happened 17 years ago. Piast desperately needed a win and despite playing their nearly strongest squad, since as they are out of Europe they don't need to rest players anymore, they only managed to lose by one. The winner was scored by Pelle Van Amersfoort in the 25th min from a penalty. The foul was very surprisingly committed by Jakub Czerwiński who is arguably the best defender in the league and very rarely makes such mistakes. Piast will keep on seeking a win with coach Waldemar Fornalik's work being carefully investigated by the board, while Cracovia's Michał Probierz, a week after securing the Polish Supercup keeps fighting for that upper table finish. (1/5)
In the second game, the 2 best teams this season so far faced themselves when Górnik Zabrze welcomed rivals from Wielkopolskie Raków Częstochowa to their Ernest Pohl Stadium. Górnik started the match very well with midfielder Bartosz Nowak scoring a header in the 5th minute after a Roman Prochazka, former Viktoria Plzen player who has even scored in the UEFA Champions League group stage 2018/19 assist. Although Raków responded effectively, with former Levante UD winger Ivi López's finish in the 21st minute and then David Tijanić's cheeky chip finish 11 minutes later. Jesus Jimenez also had a disallowed offside goal scored in the same half, but it was Raków leading after the first 45.
In the 2nd half Górnik brought on a 22 year old debutant Stefanos Evangelou, who just joined on a free transfer from Panionios and plays as a centre back, but that didn't stop them from conceding another goal, also by Ivi, which proved that players who were once succesful in LaLiga always prosper well in Poland. Thanks to that win Marek Papszun's dark horse team hops onto the first place with 3 points over Marcin Brosz's Górnik, who are doing a great job nonetheless after losing their best player and scorer Igor Angulo on a free in summer to Goa FC in Indian Super League. (2/5)
And to the final third and probably the most important game of the day. Bogdan Zając's Jagiellonia Białystok team goijg through a serious rebuild after a series of missed manager appointments and underperforming transfers were facing Lech Poznań led by Dariusz Żuraw, who play very effective football and are the only polish team to qualify for an European tournament group stage since 2016. Lech were the clear favourites, with nearly no injuries except goalkeeper Mickey Van Der Hart who has torn his ligament a few weeks before, although Jagiellonia had a strong transfer window having brought in Pavels Steinbors from relegated Arka, who is a great goalkeeper, Kris Twardek from irish team Bohemians who has a semi succesful season in his league last year, Lithuanian striker Fedor Cernych from Dinamo Moscow who has already played in Jaga before and was performing well and finally Błażej Augustyn, an experienced defender on a free from Lechia Gdańsk. The team from Podlaskie's capital lost the previous game vs Zagłębie 1-0 but still started the Lech game like they were not afraid at all. And it showed in the second minute already when Martin Pospisil assisted captain Taras Romanczuk who took Jagiellonia to the lead. 18 year old prospect Jakub Kamiński equalized for Lech 7 minutes later, although the goal was disallowed due to offside. In the second half, winger Maciej Makuszewski, who is a former Lech and polish NT player, made the score 2-0 after an Imaz assist, when the Spaniard took advantage of a poor Ljubomir Satka clearance. In the end Lech got a penalty which was put in by the 20 year old polish national team midfielder Jakub Moder, but in the end Bogdan Zając managed to end the match with a positive result to his team. Lech are playing Benfica home next Thursday and if they repeat today's performance they will surely not stand a chance. (3/5)
Now time for a brief look at Poland's 2nd highest tier. Zagłębie Sosnowiec's game vs newly promoted Resovia Rzeszów was postponed due to the home team having several COVID-19 cases in the first team. And the 2 remaining matches that managed to be played on time weren't exactly great either. First, Górnik Łęczna played legendary Widzew Łódź home, with an intention to win to jump higher in the playoff zone, meanwhile a money-powered Widzew team going through a resurrection scheme having appointed a new coach before the season wanting to bounce off into the playoffs after a poor start. The game was boring and ended 0-0, with the Widzew board surely disappointed. The second game was a midtable Stomil Olsztyn team playing Arka Gdynia, who was relegated last season but are the usual suspects for automatic promotion. Sitting 4th before the match, a 1-1 draw didn't help them move up. (4/5)
Current Ekstraklasa table:
- Raków Częstochowa (7 matches played) (16 points)
- Górnik Zabrze (7) (13)
- Zagłębie Lubin (6) (13)
- Jagiellonia Białystok (6) (11)
- Śląsk Wrocław (5) (10)
- Lechia Gdańsk (5) (9)
- Lech Poznań (6) (8)
- Pogoń Szczecin (4) (7)
- Legia Warszawa (4) (6)
- Cracovia Kraków (7) (5) (5 points deducted before the start)
- Wisła Płock (6) (5)
- Stal Mielec (6) (5)
- Podbeskidzie Bielsko-Biała (6) (5)
- Warta Poznań (5) (4)
- Wisła Kraków (
) (5) (3) - Piast Gliwice (7) (1)
(5/5)

henlo
are you ready to expand your knowledge on polish football
Rafa's Ekstraklasa of the Day Vol.2 18.10.2020
let's get to the topic
In the first game of the day Wisła Płock hosted Vitezslav Lavicka's very strong Śląsk Wrocław team at the Kazimierz Górski stadium. The obvious favourites were Śląsk, who after extending their manager's contract until 2022 have noted an outstanding start to the season with 10 points in 5 matches, with their only surprise loss coming in a tough away game in Szczecin back in September. Wisła Płock after avoiding relegation last season by a fair sum of points made some reputable free transfers, like centre back Julio Rodriguez from Tsarsko Selo, experienced striker Patryk Tuszyński from Piast (although they lost 2 other first team forwards - Karol Angielski, once supposed to be the next big thing for Polish football went to I Liga promotion fighting Radomiak Radom and former Wolfsburg youngster Oskar Zawada to Raków), two promising youngsters Paweł Żuk from Lechia and Piotr Pyrdoł from Legia, left back who can also play CB Damian Zbozień from relegated Arka, Dusan Lagator from Sochi and finally Filip Lesniak the Tottenham academy graduate to strengthen the midfield from Aalborg - although they lost their best player by far Dominik Furman to Turkish team Genclerbirligi. To everyone's surprise, Śląsk couldn't resist that team and the Dolnośląskie-based team fighting for top spots lost 1-0 thanks to a late Torgil Gjertsen goal. That striker by the 28 year old Norwegian lifted Wisła a few places up, with manager Radosław Sobolewski looking likely to keep his job, even though last winter he nearly got sacked. (1/5)
The second game of the day, as I showed before, was a shocker - newly promoted Stal Mielec got absolutely battered by struggling Wisła Kraków. The result would be a normality maybe 15 years ago, but before the game Stal had more points than Biała Gwiazda (Wisła's nickname, literally translates to 'White Star'). Manager Artur Skowronek kept the team up last season, ironically he was appointed after getting sacked by...Stal Mielec. Wisła had made a lot of sensible transfers so of course they were favourites, but a 6-0 battering away from home definitely exceeded expectations. Stal wasn't absolutely absent that game, they had a few good occasions, but lacked clinical finishing despite Petteri Forsell continuously creating decent chances. The first goal came from a set piece header in the eleventh minute from the former Slavia Praga defender Michal Frydrych who has even played UEFA Champions League games last season and is also one of the newcomers. The second goal was scored by Felicio Brown Forbes, a Costa Rican leftback, who was turned into a striker after coming to Poland from Arsenal Tula back in 2018 and proved to be a good striker, scoring 10 in 27 for Raków last season. Then Stal's defence completely passed out, with Yaw Yeboah the Manchester City academy graduate scoring two and assisting one and then youngster Patryk Plewka making it 6 in the 56th minute. No more goals came then, although one fairly interesting event happened in the last minute - Wisła brought on Daniel Hoyo-Kowalski, a 17 year old defenders, who had to play with a different jersey, as the regular Wisła kit is sponsored by a betting company and underage players can not advertise such.
The loss surely damaged Dariusz Skrzypczak's team's goal difference giving Wisła they first win of the season, but still made them keep their 14th place. Although if they keep playing like that they'll probably share ŁKS's fate from last season. (2/5)
Nice to see Yeboah doing wonders
The third, and probably my favourite game of the day, was the Legia-Zagłębie clash taking place in Warsaw. This was Czesław Michniewicz's first game as a Legia coach only, because despite having already played the matches vs Drita, Qarabag and Cracovia, he was also a Poland u21 team manager in that time (fun fact: on the 9th of October he had 2 of his teams play in the same day). The game started slowly, with Legia asserting dominance quickly but being vulnerable to Zagłębie's counters, which could and should have led to an early goal from the away side in the 4th minute, but a Patryk Szysz 1v1 was saved by Artur Boruc. Josip Juranović and Filip Mladenović, Legia's new pair of fullbacks, still haven't found their forms from Hajduk Split and Lechia Gdańsk respectively, being very poor in defending and passing especially. But as a compensation the capital team's wingers were very active, which showed in the 30th minute when former QPR and Hellas Verona player Paweł Wszołek cut inside and passed to Legia's top scorer so far Tomas Pekhart, who took advantage of Dominik Hładun's not great positioning and fired it into the bottom left corner from just outside the box. The equalizer came out of nowhere, when 8 minutes later Szysz tripped over Bartosz Slisz's leg in the box and a penalty to Zagłębie was awarded. The taker, Filip Starzyński, who is one of Ekstraklasa's finest if not the best midfielders, couldn't make a mistake in such situation and after sending Boruc the wrong way calmly scored with a low shot. The match then became very inactive until the break, but fortunately Legia started the 2nd half with a bang and 8 minutes after the match was resumed Luquinhas sent a great cross onto Pekhart's head who scored his 2nd goal in the match, without making Hładun even move. (2,5/5)
After that the match became kinda shit again until the last 15 minutes, when Martin Sevela brought on three offensive players who changed the team's approach a bit and managed to get some possession and shots on Legia's half, but eventually it lead to nothing and the 3 points stayed at the Józef Piłsudski stadium. Michniewicz's first league game and first win is a good prognostic, although some very weird decisions (like Luis Rocha and Paweł Stolarski not even playing despite their good disposition and their rivals for the fullbacks positions disappointing) could be an issue. Let's just hope everyone plays like they should again and we clench the title once again. Legia after that win jumps to 7th place, although they still have 2 matches to play, meanwhile Zagłębie drops points but stays at the 3rd position. (3/5)
Now a brief look at the one game that was played in the I Liga today. ŁKS-Korona could be a top match but guess what, it was postponed due to Korona having Corona cases (
). Instead we had GKS Bełchatów play a terrible Sandecja Nowy Sącz team who are yet to get a point. Well, they did get one, because the match in Nowy Sącz ended 0-0, just like 50% of polish 2nd tier games do. Sandecja are still dead last and GKS are drifting just above the bottom 3. (4/5)
Current league table. (5/5)
Waow nice
F to the people that have nothing better to do than read my paragraphs
I thought Legia and Lech Poznan were miles ahead of every club, seems that it changed a lot
@dire comet read through some of them. not bad work.

@dire comet why is legia so bad
@lapis wedge Legia just changed their coach so maybe it will change but Piast is a big mystery, they're just bad for no reason
Before I go to bed, wanted to say that the polish league is very interesting, i'm doing a CM in that league tomorrow as i'll know more of the league then, but i'm liking it
@lapis wedge Legia just changed their coach so maybe it will change but Piast is a big mystery, they're just bad for no reason
@dire comet they weren't even that bad in qualifications this season (piast)
@naive ocean did he sign for a Russian team already? Preferably SKA Khabarovsk
@naive ocean did he sign for a Russian team already? Preferably SKA Khabarovsk
@dire comet He signed for Akron Tolyatti
Tolyatti is named by an Italian Communist so fair enough
SKA Khabarovsk's stadium is named after Lenin doe
ik

@twin patrol god damn it, the Labada chant they have is stuck in my head and I don’t know why. Lol
rafa's ekstraklasa of the day looks like a great idea so far. Perhaps a stupid question, but mind if I do the same thing but about romanian football?@dire comet (Sorry if I disturbed you)
the channel is called #other-european-leagues . Besides I am not a mod. Of course you can, and it'd be very welcome 😄 @hidden valley
@twin patrol god damn it, the Labada chant they have is stuck in my head and I don’t know why. Lol
@twin patrol it's the most basic chant a a team can have, it's basically like 'nananana come on you <team>'
Damn,
Mini Update on my spreadsheet
(I have recorded every game, every competition, every team and goal scorer in a spreadsheet... for a normal person, it may hit 100 matches late on in the year.... I ain’t normal)
oh wow
Starting on January 1st 2020, I’m on game number 470. I’m on course to hit 500 in 18 days time and will hit 585 on the daily rate
however, I think I’ll slow to hit 550 due to external forces (e.g. School, Interviews)
Good lord that's a lot of work
wow
got aired in football chat
look at this save
when ben foster retires he has to be our number 1
ik batchmann is good but this guy has so much potential
he is too good to be on the bench
I remember he had a very good save against Sheffield last season
Taaaake me baaack to the sweet tiiimess

oh fuck
I forgot to do Ekstraklasa of the Day
well ima do it now
Ekstraklasa of the Day Vol.3 19.10.2020
Ooh yay
In Monday's first game, two freshly promoted teams - Podbeskidzie Bielsko-Biała and Warta Poznań - faced each other at the former's venue. The game was crucial because it was absolutely winnable for either team, with Podbeskidzie being the slight favourites due to having a quite more experienced team. Warta, on the other hand, caused a massive upset by their promotion to Ekstraklasa, and already managed to snatch a win in the top polish tier vs Wisła Płock. The game looked tight since the start, with former Chojniczanka Chojnice striker Mateusz Kuzimski scoring a goal for Warta at the beginning of the 2nd half, but then Podbeskidzie brought on youngster Maksymilian Sitek who scored 4 minutes after coming onto the pitch. Soon after Kamil Biliński had a great chance to take his team to the lead, but his shot landed on the crossbar. Warta put emphasis on midfield domination and, after having brought on Lech legend Łukasz Trałka, made it nearly impossible to Podbeskidzie to attack in any other way than by hoofing it to wingers. In the 86th minute Piotr Tworek's team managed to fight up a corner, from which a cross was converted into a goal from Mateusz Kupczak. The Warta win was even more impressive, because they have been dealing with a whole lot of Covid-19 cases and have been missing some crucial players like GK Mateusz Lis. For Warta it's their 2nd win in a row and Krzysztof Brede's Podbeskidzie team despite beating Stal Mielec 2 weeks ago is now third from the bottom. (1/3)
The second match was supposed to be higher level but didn't particularly impress. Lechia Gdańsk hosted Pogoń Szczecin in a game of a 2 upper half teams. Lechia has been disappointing so far, having won 3 games and lost two, but all the wins were vs newly promoted teams and the losses were quite damaging (3-0 vs Górnik, 3-1 vs Raków). Pogoń was also doing average, so the match favourites were them, but it wasn't a big difference in odds. The only goal came in the 23rd minute when after a decent first-touch-only action former Rijeka winger Alex Gorgon tried to pass to Benfica academy graduate Luka Jahović, but misplaced the pass and instead of going to the Slovenian striker it went straight into the bottom right corner of Dusan Kuciak's goal instead. Lechia looked very clueless in the 2nd half and didn't really look like they put in any effort in equalizing, with only 1 shot being taken, which was saved by Dante Stipica either way. And so Kosta Runjaić's team managed to bring the narrow 1-0 win home. Surely a disappointing result for Lechia fans, which launched Pogoń above them in the table. (2/3)
Current league table. (3/3)
1st of all. Damn Maksymilian being a good example of a Super Sub today...
and 2nd of all. Legia Warsaw in 8th? Didn't they win the title last year? what happened?
well we lost a few games at the beginning of the season because we just spammed crosses and it was super ineffective, but we sacked the coach and appointed a new, much more experienced one so it will hopefully change
don't forget that we still have 2 matches to play to be on par with the top 3 and if we win both we bounce up to 2nd
I've noticed (on wikipedia at least) that Piast pulled a Leicester 2 seasons ago and now they're rockbottom, a shame that
but i do appreciate the Legia Warsaw supporters though. Man the atmosphere there must be through the roof during a game
I've noticed (on wikipedia at least) that Piast pulled a Leicester 2 seasons ago and now they're rockbottom, a shame that
@twin patrol it's even better than Leicester because Piast secured safety in the last matchday and Leicester did like 3 before the end
Oh holy hell that's impressive
What are your guys opinion on a “European Super League”?
A league replacing the CL?
that's a super ultra fucking terrible idea
yeah
no
A league replacing the CL?
@balmy torrent no that's like europa League 2
What are your guys opinion on a “European Super League”?
@balmy torrent what would that be actually
only small leagues or just europa league at a lesser level
What's the best non-top-5-league in your opinion?
No guys you are not understanding
European Super League would be a new league made by the top teams that only has top teams
e.g. Man U, Liverpool etc
Instead of the PL etc
What's the best non-top-5-league in your opinion?
Championship
Has anyone played DLS?
It would be something like that
What's the best non-top-5-league in your opinion?
@balmy torrent Liga NOS by far
What rafa said
Catley, Ryan, Cacace, carpenter
@sudden parcel cacace 🐐 😻
oh
European Super League would be a new league made by the top teams that only has top teams
@balmy torrent it would be like ucl but beginning at 8th finals
Championship and Russian Prem are the best league outside of Top 5 imo
Russian Prem
russian teams are always shit in Europe
the last time a russian team fulfilled expectations in UCL/UEL was 16/17
What's the best non-top-5-league in your opinion?
@balmy torrent of course serbian league

russian prem is shit
Have you ever watched the russian prem? @balmy torrent
What happened to Randal Crow Michaels 🤔
Which team do you support in Super Lig?
I unfortunately, have lost my weekly supply of Super Lig
BT had it on in the UK halfway through lockdown until the end of the season, and I loved every game
They always chose the best games too
Gazientep v Galatasaray etc
I like besiktas and basaksehir
And my best footballer Ljajic
Of course in Super Lig
I have the kits of Galatasaray and Fenerbache
Uuu
İ have signed kits of Beşiktaş
Mario Gomez's jersey
#33
He was play besiktas in 2015-16 season
I love him
@balmy torrent Liga NOS by far
@dire comet Nah, Eredivisie
I'd say Turkey or Liga Nos
Super Lig > Eredivisie ngl
Eredivisie has basically Ajax
don't tell me abt AZ being close because they lost to Dynamo Kiev
absolutely> Super Lig > Eredivisie ngl
@dire comet
we're 1-0 up vs Śląsk
Juranović
can't watch the game because I just came from a fencing practice and have to do homework but yeah
it's 2-0 Legia from Pekhart
When i saw the lineup I could've sworn i've heard of Artur Boruc before
Then i realised he was with Bournemouth for 5 years....makes sense why i heard of him prior
Um
I meam
he's been playing in good clubs for like 20 years
Soton, Celtic, Fiorentina
FT, we won 2-1
up to 4th place we go
climbing back up!
if we win our 2nd postponed match vs Warta we're 2nd
aight sk
next Saturday we're against Pogoń
and then 8 days later Warta
2nd postponed match? i assume this was because of COVID right?
yeah
Warta had like 2 postponed matches because of Covid cases
and yet they managed to win vs Podbeskidzie after coming straight back from quarantine
Ahh ok
Eredivisie has basically Ajax
@dire comet And what about PSV and Feyenoord? Both former European winners
Madueke may be the next big thing
I know Utrecht are looking ambitious as well
he came from nowhere and already has 4 assists
Utrecht meh
imo Heerenveen are better
Heerenveen and Twente haven't started off the season too badly either
AZ though, they can't hold on to a lead
They were up 4-0 and had a penalty against Sparta Rotterdam I think. They ended 4-4 with Bizot (the keeper) getting sent off
yes ik
Ivan Toney!!!
their whole front three is on loan from Ajax
@dire comet Yeah, that's true
that was an epic bottle
But Drommel is really good. I know there were several clubs asking for him in the summer
1-0 Brentford
Ivan Toney!!!
@sage galleon Sheff Wed will relegate imo
probs
I don't know you know. Sheffield Wednesday haven't started off the season too badly
are you content with the fact that Sergi Canós is your Benrahma replacement?
isn't Frank intending to play him at ST?
Ghoddos was best in Amiens and Ostersunds up front
Forss should get more minutes imo, had 11 goals in half a season for Wimbledon
he isn't much worse than Toney
No. Smithies is
E
but it's Nick Pope
nah it's ben Foster, he saved a pen
he saved a pen and like 6 other shots
one of his best games
foster has kept 4 clean sheets in 6, and has only conceded 2
what a legend
Is he a good player?
Ahh
Aren't MacArthur like new?
Must be a good coach, damn
Aka the Matilda's old head coach
Yup
I have this slight feeling they're gonna do pretty decently in their first season
I did one Career Mode in Australia last game cycle
I won in my 1st season
though it was with Wellington because of Former Whitecap Stefan Marinovic
just saw taras gomulka go to melb city
And we're not getting anyone 😔
obv 😔
gomulka had very little play time for adelaide, dk how going to city would help his career now
I'm kinda wondering how Carl Robinson will do in Western Sydney
well was he good with the whitecaps?
cuz western sydney would be a pain to deal with defensively
well was he good with the whitecaps?
@oak echo He was the best coach we ever had
aside from not winning the MLS Cup
should be doable with western sydney
idk how they triggered his clause after he signed a 3 and a half year contract with the jets this february
He brought Exciting football, which was something Martin Rennie, Tommy Soehn, or Teitur Thordarson (Our first coach in the MLS) never brought
ah
and yes, i did just name all the past coaches we had
i personally think he can help the wanderers finish around 6th or 7th
idk how they triggered his clause after he signed a 3 and a half year contract with the jets this february
@oak echo maybe they saw something Newcastle didn't see in the contract?
possibly
cuz, Jets announced publicly that Carl Robinson could be headed to wanderers 3 weeks prior to his call
whatever went on over there we don't know for sure
yea true
glad he took Kenny Miller with him though, he was good for Vancouver as a player under Carl
albeit a short time, but he was good
I say short time because he was already a player before Carl Robison took over
he brings those german one to one style of play and people around him usually thrive
well, Robinson could do better than the other coaches at the Wanderers
they don't have a proper finisher, yet having set up possible goals and missing them wide
Robinson Dispatching the New York Red Bulls 4-1 on his debut was 🔥
Cardiff City v Bournemouth highlights
you watched the gillingham highlights im guessing? 😉
@balmy torrent I did indeed https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q5CRt_8b_YY&ab_channel=GFCofficial 😉
oh fuck sake
i mean in all fairness that was the first loss of the season
in december

Best team in da world
@clever totem 😄
Goddamnit you’re saltier than the french fans
welcome to the party
Sparta got owned by Lille
Idk much about Czech league but thought Sparta and a few top flight teams could be at a UEL level
Sparta, Plzen and Slavia are definitely UEL level
Yeah thought they would be
Slavia should be UCL level, they aren't even selling that many players
But against a not full Lille team 😳
but like in most cases with chinese owners the management is poor
oh the owners are chinese
I understand it better now lol
Recruitment ac is a bit weird
yeah Slavia were a mid table team until like 2015
until they took over and bought every single decent player in the league
At some point I saw lots of Ligue 1 over 30 players go to Czech league
Mandjeck, Mavuba
Costa Nhamoinesu played for Sparta for a fair bit
Yeah
but he left somwhere this year
Fifa beast
to India or smth
Nhamoinesu is a former Zagłębie player so that's cool
Ye
Repositioned at CB
Fullbacks repositioned at CB always make fifa beasts
Djéné for example
Masopust was one of these outperforming players from smaller clubs that were just poached by Slavia
Ye
Top leagues scout don't look much into mid Europe
Masopust in Czech Republic or Coman in Romania could get in a few teams
I remember when Brest bought Tomas Micola out of nowhere lol
Masopust is just Czech Fassnacht
Fassnacht was also outperforming in Thun and got poached by YB
also a right winger and also is 27
nah Slavia doesn't buy younger players because they'd most likely get bought by foreign clubs quickly
Yeah
most of their youngsters are homegrown or bought from super niché leagues at the age of 17
Swiss league prospects often are recruited in Germany, Italy or France
Proof that language helps
yep
Players like Traoré, Dorley or Kayamba were hard to find
They sold Deli to Club Brugge
oh damn
began late
Idk how second div Czech clubs or Slovakian clubs can find players like that in Africa
Zlin won the czech cup in 17/18
yep it was a big surprise
Then they lost some important players like said Traore and fought relegation again
also back to the Jablonec topic
they're always super good in the league
