Yeah, seems the two requirements are leaving hunger empty for 36+ waking hours, or having it get sick 5 times, both of which cause Grim Gotchi to appear for you to be able to respond to. I believe once 5 show up, you can't scare it off and your Tama is essentially "dead"

Seems about right! That's all 16 color variants, good to see that the overlap for Orange and Sky Blue is a universal thing for everyone

There are colors exclusive to the juices and there are some that are common

The color replacing tool does not always work well on this tool but you can baiscally see the possible colors in the little squares, as far as I tested

If you want orange, definitely use Vivid Juice as I did find evidence of people saying that gave them orange.

At some point someone had said they guaranteed they got orange from Pastel Juice. But again I'm starting to doubt it with how I've only seen it happen with Vivid 🤔

it should die in about 48hours neglect. I mistook the gravely ill icon as death and cured it.. and need to wait approximately another 48hours

Does anyone else know why the cleaning poop animation goes across all three fields? It feels almost misleading- as if to insinuate you can raise a tama in each field at the same time? I'm not sure if anyone else feels this way or if it's just me.

i think thats the equivalent of a care mistake in the baby stage, no repurcussions just makes the baby stage last longer

The poop meter seems to go up faster the more tamas you’ve raised so I guess the implication is that the non-active tamas’ poop is also being cleaned

It also sometimes fills when you use it with no poop on your current field, so yeh you're definitely cleaning up the other fields' poop, it just doesn't visually show it. Which I guess makes sense if you're not ever really there. .3.

I assumed it was to account for if your Tama pooped and then you switched fields. I've never actually tried doing that but I figured it was easier to program it to clean from all fields just in case there was a weird edge case like that

The cooking ones are only certain types of foods too, like the big chicken wing for example instead of the small one etc, but in general if you do 3 egg hunts a day, you get most of any really easilly 🙂

I will say I kinda wish the character designs on the Paradise were a little more intricateee I LOVE THEM!!! Don't get me wrong. But compared to the gene mixing on the other device I feel like they're limited

Yeah I think gene mixing is a lot more basic on the Paradise, but I do appreciate that there's more control over how you want it to look because you can decide on the body (based on the usual care you give it, ofc)

Yes, you can have a kid with sky eyes for example and raise them in water to have a water body

But they can only have the bodies of their respective environments, so you can’t have a Meowtchi body in the sky field for example

Yeah basically the body you get is tied to your care, what field you're in, etc. Everything that applies normally when raising a Tama. But the eyes and color can be different depending on which parent you inherit them from

Being able to have a bit of control over the outcome has made gene mixing genuinely so much fun! Got rid of a lot of my gripes with the mix and meets/on

It always felt like some genes just had higher priority over others. Like I would never get Gozarutchi's body, but always his hood and grr it made me so, so frustrated when I married a character with no back/lower body part but it still counts as a gene so you just get nothing!

I think I still overall prefer the meets' mechanics where you can basically get a full-custom Tama, but I am liking the gene mixing on the paradise waaaay more than I thought I would when it was first announced
I think they were going more for "you only have certain Tamas but they can look different per-individual" rather than "handmade your own custom Tama" and I think even just the eyes and color goes a long way for that. I also love how it's totally optional and you can actually just call for a new egg at anytime. I havent used it yet because I love the gene mixing but I know a lot of people prefer without

Yeah my characters just ended up looking way to similar... which i get it genetics and all but it got old quick. Care has also always been at the core of raising your tama, but it didn't matter at all with those versions which just made them kinda dull after awhile imo. The new egg option is also bypasses those damn sticky genes!

You have to connect to two other versions than your own at the Young stage; e.g. to get Mermarintchi, you'll need a Blue Water shell and any Water-Field Young (that isn't Float Young), then during that stage you need to connect to two separate devices that are not the same version (a Pink Land + a Purple Sky, or a Lab Tama works as a substitute too)

But both need to have happened during the Young stage, then it will evolve at whatever its normal time was supposed to be into the special character.

Now that I have all 3 paradise colors I noticed something odd. The amount of outside toys in the shop was 7 on my Gen 1 Adult and 6 on my Gen 1 teens. For whatever reason the shop only sells 1 large toy during the teen stage and 2 during the adult.

My least favorite characters are the Beaver (i forgor their name) and Yayacorntchi (idk i think the secret should have been a pheonix or some sort of mythycal bird)

For the most part the Paradise roster is very strong. It's only real weak point is that Mametchi and Kuchipatchi stick out like sore thumbs.

You have to set the time to 11:59am the day before, then once it ticks over the sale takes place. But you can't change the time again afterwards, it resets even if you leave it at the same day. You can just purchase stuff while it's asleep, luckily

Potsunentchi's cheek colors change depending on its mood i noticed

Well that's definitely what happened, they were directly next to me and I checked on them not a minute or two beforehand with full hunger, full happiness and 3 cloud cells.

Heard the evolution prompt, but missed it because I was busy typing something up.

Looked again afterwards, only 5 or so minutes later, and all the cloud cells were gone. Was annoying cause it was right before I leave work at 4:30, I timed it so they'd evolve before but just happened to miss it typing an email. 🙄

Could just be a weird quirk or bug, it hasn't happened to me before till now. But it occurred on both my Blue Water (JP) and Pink Land (US) at the same time, I had just breed them by connecting the two an hour-ish before I wrote that. Luckily they got their cells back after another hour and I just evolved them, so no big babies this time.

I looked at the code again, and you're right. If you ignore the evolution request for 15 minutes, it will remove all of the field cells for the field type with the most cells

So instead of calling over and over on the same type of cells, you may have to regain those cells if you don't have any other type that's reached 4.

With how the code works, if you have multiple cell types that have reached 4, the earliest cell type you got (not the first to reach 4, just the first in being obtained) takes precedence

There's three maps, and they cycle along with the flags minigame.
+10 happiness for not hitting ghosts, +5 happiness for hitting ghost once, +1 happiness for hitting ghosts more than once

Those ghosts felt impossible to avoid only to find out just 1 of them is a mandatory obstacle. I haven't tried the minigame using the maps yet to see if having the layout helps at all. How zoomed in the game is and the rotating environment is kinda disorienting.

Few questions I have left is how the cycling maps work.
▪︎ Does the cycle reset every day?
▪︎ Can you start the game, exit out, and re-enter to cycle through them? (Map 2 would be the recommended one to play)

Map 2 looks the easiest just follow the walls and you'll get through it. The only challenge with this one is during turns they throw a ghost at you.

The other two maps seem to do the same but they have a more confusing layout.

What’s funny is that they literally solved this problem 20 years ago with the connection v4/entama, it wasn’t perfect and there was still a couple lines you could only get via abuse but it’s funny they basically never used this system again lol

I'm sure your teen gonna be fine if they are sick and heal them when getting home

Mine at first seemed to not beep at all, observed it for some weeks and never realized, now that I seek for CM since my last characters needs a ton of them, I see that your tamagotchi does beep but it's really fast, even sometimes the screen is already turned off when I reach to check if it beeped or not. I like that Jade has sky elements too and the other details on it are super pretty, so, I preordered, but if I didn't have the money for it I think I'd feel more distressed about my likes/wants/disappointments

The issue about decorating on water field is less about looking wrong and more about the lack of items that could actually work here

Stuff like the house, plants and other stuff would look good if they would be designed in a way that would work in something like an aquarium, but the water-related elements they gave look more for a beach rather than something you would see inside water

Like, why did they add an aquarium? It's like adding an aquarium inside an aquarium

These two are probably the only two decorations that look good on water field, because one is the classic octopus pot, and the other may resemble the decorations you could add in your aquarium where the fishes will rest or feel safer

And yet, they added a better pot for events (named octopus pot) and the animation for the jungle gym is climbing which makes no real sense

Are the Jade Forest characters already in our Paradises somewhere hidden? Whats gonna happen when they connect? Im very un-educated on how the connection works on a deeper level

I've read time ago there are not hidden Tamas in our devices, so, if they were in our devices we would know already. The connection between Forest and our devices will probably work the same way it works for Lab or Secret Tamas where they download the needed data temporally and that's it.
I don't know too much anyways, and I don't know if there will be a way to unlock these Forest Tamas in our devices in the future (I doubt it).

The plot twist would be the hackers lied to us and they knew them from the beginning

They could have had Lake for a water biome. Not sure what they would have done for a sky type of biome, maybe something high up like a mountain or even volcano 😂

I don't hate any Tama and of course I have my favorites, but I wouldn't say Shigemi-san is bad at all. It's really unique compared with the rest of the roster

Ok to be fair: its eyes are one of the better ones you can get by breeding with it! I had a cream-colored Meowtchi with Shigemi eyes and it was really cute :3

But the bush itself...ehhhhhh.....

I liked the idea they had in the concept arts where the bush was going to have berries, or that concept art where it was going to be a tree instead of a sphere

I guess they decided the current design because it's easier and more logical with the rest of the roster, plus less issues with the color swap gimmick, but having a mini tree with fruits would had been really funny

Honestly, I have more issues with the Tamas that I feel that don't work with the fusion gimmick. Tamas like the sheep who keep the orange and have a small head that can make some eyes look bad, or the water lizard where you need to discard all the eye designs that have blush stickers because otherwise it will have two pairs of blush stickers are the ones that dislike more

I think the berries alone would elevate the design a little for me. I know they wanted to make it look like an afro, but it brings a weird human-ness to these more simple, nature-inspired designs that feels a bit outta place

Agreed! It's tough thinking about how certain eyes won't look good on certain bodies, that was always something I had to worry about with the m!x/On as well. I'm trying to let myself just raise some ugly babies and be okay with it 😝 but it's hard sometimes!

Honestly, I feel Furawatchi or Tustustchi more out place if we talk about nature-inspired designs. One is basically one of these humanoid Tamas that are almost everywhere in every Tama device (like a Mametchi but flowers) and the other look more like a penguin with cactus costume rather than a cactus. Shigemi-san at least looks like a bush and the green/teal pattern makes it look more on the line of a plant creature than these two

If I have Furawatchi higher in my list is because at least it works really really well with the fusion gimmick, but if someone would ask me for nature-inspired Tamas I wouldn't choose Furawatchi at all
