I don't believe so, otherwise it would basically nullify the "New Tama" option which just gets you a new egg without breeding

Oh yes, the genes do not swap or change throughout growth so you'll have the same color and eyes no matter what

Blush is tied to the eye sprites actually, so whichever eyes your Tama has they'll have the same cheeks if the base Tama had them

Yeah they're just a part of the same sprite, so getting Kabutotchi's eyes for example always has his cheeks in all of the eye sprites

And iirc if they have some sort of thing in the space between the eyebrows, they can inherit it too, i think i've seen that in #tama-pics

Ironically the mouth sprites are actually separate in the files, too, but it's just for layering purposes so you don't have cheeks that go over some Tamas' mouths, e.g. Kiwitchi's big beak, haha

Megababymarutchi! You don't have to check it that often: ignore its call when it's time to make it grow up and the icons will disappear. Then you can regularly change fields (I personally made sure to have 3 of each icon) and around the 3 hours mark it'll evolve! I think it'd be faster if you didn't interact with it much like I did though. The evolution is automatic like the other stages. At some point though, I couldn't make it absorb the cells at all?

My theory is that this special evolution is why you have to manually make the cell absorb the nearby cells in the baby stage. It needs to give you the choice so that you can ignore it

Augh searching is driving me crazy, so I'll just ask: has anyone raised an Oretatchi yet in a different color than its original? I need to figure out which colors change on it since it's such a unique pattern on it

You have to get a baby and change it from fields to fields before 15 minutes happens to give you one element

If you get 4 after 1h of waiting (4x15) it will evolve. So the rule is to change l'île every 10 mins or so (any time as long as it's before 15 mins.) Here I waited 15 mins more on each biomes and then understood you have to change before 15 mins 🙂

i dont have mine yet but the negative reviews ive seen are disliking apparently how different it is from other tamagotchi devices. youre more of an observer than a caregiver, you arent bonding with or dressing up your tama, you are just populating a planet
if you like the idea of an alien planet full of cuties then its great

Oh, something people have probably noticed already, but all the Paradise sleeping sprites do not use the eye genes because they typically put them in unique poses which can't fit all the different eye types! So suddenly my Kuraratchi has its usual eyes back instead of Imoritchi's xD

but that doesnt make sense to me because what's the point of using a vivid/pastel juice on a character who can only use vivid/pastel versions of a color? unless it can force them to look vivid/pastel when they normally wouldnt

Well, so there are actually pastel and vivid versions of each color

Like, there are light green and normal green palettes for example

Someone asked earlier for opinions on paradise. Im enjoying it, im not speeding through, just taking my time but i feel like something is missing and theres not much to do. It would have been cool to bring back gardening for this one i think. I wish the travel had a mini game or something. You cant prompt your tamas to play with a toy on this one but you ocassionally see them playing when you check up on them. Its soooooo easy to care for. I forgot it home the other day from 7am to 6.30pm and it was a little sad but its meters werent empty. I wish it was a little needier. And im kinda bummed about the exclusive items. Ill never have a Lab Tama near me. In saying that, the characters are really cute, i LOVE that you can grind for $$ even when your tama is asleep and i like you can choose when they go to bed. The gameplay is new and refreshing. I dont regret buying (i got all 3) i just wish there was a little more to do. Bandai will never be able to make us all happy lol but i definately recommend at least getting 1 and trying it out. Thats just my 2 cents. Lots of people seem to be loving it.

I agree with a lot of these! It's a lot more basic when it comes to gameplay, even after unlocking more things. To me it really feels like a good companion device to be running alongside other Tamas, since it's way easier to care for and there's more of a focus on the visuals and aesthetic of it than stuff to actually do.

I also think it was a bit of a mistake to just dump a huge chunk of shop codes at the beginning, rather than spacing it out over the weeks leading up to the US launch, or even past that. Granted, we are supposed to get tons more seeing as way more items are shown in the guidebook. So I hope they give us steady gifts here and there

Ive had mine for 3 weeks now so ive had decent play time and there are a lot of things i do like but i just wanted more. More things to do. My favourite is the P's and that has so much to do. Yes - the uni cops some backlash and has wifi so again different but i feel like theres more to do on there too. Dont get me wrong, im enjoying it. Just wanted more more more 😅😁

I'd have to say my biggest complaint as of right now is how minor the dial feels as a feature, it's another issue like the Pix where there wasn't enough focus put on it and it feels gimmicky when it is used. Like the implementation feels half-baked or rushed, considering it's mostly just tied to navigating the different menus on different zoom levels. Stuff like having the status screen aaaaaall the way in the Tama Cells is something that bothers me whenever I want to quickly check if my Tama needs feeding. Or when it comes to games not really understanding how to implement dial controls into it, since literally all the games just control better with the classic buttons or don't even have dial controls at all.

Not that I want the entire Tama to be centered around it as a gimmick, but for such a big clunky thing on the side of the device itself, it feels just underutilized, I think.

Personally I'm huge on the world building aspect so the uni fell short of that

I really disliked the tamaverse idea and would prefer if it was just a town square or something

okay so I was trying to grab one from amazon because I missed the initial drop and I managed to get one today. I literally work the next 8 days so I didn't want to worry about trying to go in stores (and it kinda sounds like they won't even be in stores right away). It took a bit but when one became avalible I added it to my cart and unsurprisingly coulnd't check out.
