problem is that if you manage to get a combined tama that you liked earlier than another that you didn't like, you are stuck with that one unless you remove the one you like next in order to be able to remove that one

okay, i forgot to set the alarm once and got 1 cloud symbol and i still got bbmarutchi after 4 hours. this time it actually was 4 hours and 1 minute

so far confirmed by me:

• new egg, no symbols (change field every 14 minutes), evolves into bbmarutchi after 4 hours 1-4 minutes
• new egg, 1 symbol, evolves into bbmarutchi after 4 hours 1 minute
• breeded egg, no symbols (change field every 14 min), evolves after 2 hours (tried this only once)

I figured out a slight workaround to the whole “you can’t breed Tamas from separate biomes” thing. If you breed two Tamas from one biome, and then put the baby with those traits in another biome, you can introduce those traits to that biome anyhow!

i fell asleep yesterday when i hatched a new baby and it turned into a land kid... i moved it to the sky but it seems like it doesnt gain different field symbols? i suppose it will just magically evolve into a sky young then?

i guess thats another reason for the blobby shape. they can live in any environment

It's very very hard to get them to die in paradise, you'll literally have to ignore them for hours and hours

Once a bar gets empty just leave it empty until you get the mistakes you need

You SHOULD feed them while they're not smiling, it counts as a point and it's part of the animation that tells you it's a target! If you wait until they cry, you'll lose time and possibly lose that possibility as they stop crying fast on normal and hard modes

So I can get Float Young cause I messed up and thought it was plankton, but it is rather an undefined diet

So it speeds it up a bunch

They also fill +6 hunger

E.g. 3 Big Meat is required because each gives 2 points, meaning 2+2+2 = 6 and goes over the 5 threshold

2 Steaks would be 4+4 = 8, so you could even get a second icon by feeding a Big Meat afterwards when it gets hungry again

Maybe one day we'll get a more difficult modern Tama or that at least has some difficult objectives to get to completion. It can even have a slogan similar to the "prepare to die" one from the Dark Souls games. "Prepare to mess up your child" or something haha. It might've been a lot, but considering I like to raise that many at once anyway (and it could also just be completely optional for people who don't wanna) that would've been fun

Ah good to know his head changes color with breeding too! I've been trying to figure out with some which part of their body changes color compared to others, many use the same palettes for different parts of their bodies as the internal ones used to dye Tamas certain colors (e.g. the red on Kabutotchi is the same as the dark red palette when dying Tamas red)

Tldr; the blue circle is hunger time (60 minutes for Mame, 50 minutes for Mimi, etc.), the green circle is happiness time (80 mins for Mame, etc.) and the purple circle is perfect chance of sickness upon getting a care miss (30% for Mame, etc.)

For the tama to be able to evolve you'll need 4 of the same element, if you keep moving and have different elements it won't be able to evolve.

Adult tamas stay in their respective fields and can't move to others.

When you have 4 adults in a field and get a new egg you'll raise the tama to adulthood. Once it's an adult and you choose another egg for the same field the oldest tama in there will go away and you'll keep the most recent 4 adults.

You can look at the other fields even though you aren’t able to move the adult! Just select the fields option and it lets you look around the other 2 fields

In other words, does it choose between the color/eyes of both parents or can get the color of one of the "grandpas"?

it inherits the current aspects (color and eyes) of the paired tamas. It's not a sure thing that it inherits both things tho

it can only be color or eyes, and it can only be of one of the parents

No grandparent genes, just chooses eyes and color randomly between the two Tamas breeding.

Sometimes you can get eyes and color from the same parent, sometimes eyes from one and color from the other, so it's always a bit of a surprise. ^^
