I got a tama retelease when it first happened in 2017 and I honestly haven't gotten a new one since but I've always been really fond of them
(I never thought the gimicks for releases were thst interesting until I saw the paradise)
I was about to get a connection 2024 but I accidentally found the paradise had come out and went WOAH

Because I feel like that would mess with caps and stuff

Indeed, that's why I just cut a Square myself haha, just to put it over the LCD at least, so I don't mind if the sides gets few scratches over time, as long as the main screen is protected I am good

Many did it that way, some failed to put the perfectly cut size protector because it's easy to gather bubbles on the sides, also knowing the pain I had in the past with just Square shapes, not gonna go for cracked egg shape ever 😅

I used a samsung galaxy one, they bend a bit (not glass ones) you can move bubbles on the sides if you miss so it's the best choice for me. The protection feels Rubber like so scratches hardly happnes on it! Love them

Love the paradise details so much, the fact they already look sad even before the bar is totally empty helps so much

Also they eat faster the lower the food hunger is, that's really incredible to me

I wanna get kuchipatchi and the wiki says I need 2-5 care mistakes but in the paradise inside the menu where you see the silhouettes of all the tamagotchi you can get kuchipatchi is the first of its kind, and usually in all other species the first one is the one you get with 0 mistakes and filling hunger/happiness so which one is it?

I'm starting to think it's random if you get a Babymarutchi who goes past the normal lifespan, and that's when you should neglect it

Cause lots and lots of people are saying their baby stage is going for longer than expected, but not indicating whether they're fully neglecting them or not? I assume not cause if they're checking them, they wouldn't be asking the question in the first place, right?

You can easily get a babymarutchi over one hour post-hatch, it only evolves if you have four of the same biome cells + if you zoom into the cell level

because you can manually trigger the evolution

The delivering vitamin mini game is so fun! First time I’m actually having fun while grinding gotchi points haha. I find myself reaching out to the device just to play that game every now and then

i went away for a while in the middle of the baby stage and it lost the two leaves it had gained on cell level
maybe you lose the area symbols if you neglect them during that stage?

I'm not sure, because the babies i completely neglected still ended up evolving into kids before the four hour mark
And the two confirmed bbmarutchi cases we got were not neglected as babies

from what i've seen on this page from the guide each food item with a type/family associated has a number of points associated
the most basic one gives one point, the second gives 2 and the ones you buy at the lab give 4
it seems you need 5 points to get the symbol to show up in the cell
i fed my kid 1 meal bug (2 points) and 3 meal worms (1 point each) and the worms symbol showed up

i think so! those are listed as being only available at the lab, and have a price (number at top, next to the image)
the basic ones are obtained from the egg hunt (no price in this list)

@robust panther if it helps, the inside looks like this. The clear plastic part of the dial you can see on the outside is a short stem and has a metal rod inside that then makes contact with this clear plastic part that then pushes into the relevant part of the electronic internals (not shown). I haven't been able to remove the dial components yet unfortunately. I think I might need to reverse engineer my own model to make different designs

Just get a baby by the new egg option in the lab tama (long pressing the dial button > help) or breeding and when you have it, move it with to the other field with the option that has this symbol 🔄

this is not exactly how it works from how i understand it though
it seems there are different attributes that will make the food icons appear on the cell level
and these meals simply give points on those, with the icon appearing when you reach 5 points
for example
my current tama got their first worms icon by eating one meal bugs (2 points) and 3 meal worms (1 each)
and the second one after being fed 2 meal bugs and 1 meal worms
i found this image on study hall that lists some of the items, it seems the egg hunt meals will give either 1 or 2 points and the ones you have to buy will give 4

That sounds like a very unlucky failed resonator - you can replace this component with a bit of soldering, but if you can return it and get a new one, do that 🙂

If you pass a current through a resonator/quartz crystal, it resonates - it deforms mechanically in a known manner, it vibrates, which in turn induce voltages!

This can be measured and the tama effectively counts the number of the crystals oscillations to tell the time passed since being powered on 🙂

Just saying, i recently discovered reading here iirc that Mongatchi and the other tamas that are 0-1 Care Mistakes, do not necessarily need a care mistake, the care mistake guarantees them, but you can skip the care mistake if you just don't do a perfect care like don't getting the 5 riceballs and the five suns that indicate you maxed the hunger and happiness level respectively
But of course that would be harder cuz you could get the perfect care tama like horhotchi instead mongatchi
