is the screen fully covered by the faceplate or not

the first EVER color screen since the friggin PLUS COLOR to not be fully exposed to the elements at all times

i looked at the lab tama deka planet again and we can see that there is a savannah area, which is prob where the lion is, theres also a tropical fruit area, a poop duck island, then one area wqith a big white building. maybe thats a lab?
then there is one area with a windmill building and a table with an umbrella.
theres also an island made of ice/floating icebergs and a tiny island with just 3 trees and one tiny island with just grass.
so at least 5 distinct locations for the lab tama.

maybe..... but considering the top is attached on a hinge, it probably wouldnt be like the tama-go figures that u can keep there. maybe more like the smacards, plug in, install and remove? although people are saying data transfer over the prongs is extremely slow, so any possible dlc data would already need to be on the paradise

im thinking it will be closer to the connection era, or idl, with the lab tama tama thats like a deka. and there will probably be special shells with different characters. like the idl had the princess spacey or the anni version. same with the meets, that had a bunch of different shells with different characters and locations.

Which I think is a good middle ground, keeps some strategy involved and the mixed characters won’t be ugly rng

I live in an out-of-the-way oft-abandoned area of the UK. The local stores don't have tamagotchis, and when I went to pick up the Tamagotchi Connection 2024 preorder the shop clerk was like "Oh wow tamagochi, I haven't seen one of these since I was a kid!"

Fortunately it's only 90 minutes on the train to somewhere that almost certainly would have a Lab Tama

How does the Roblox game work?

It seems like the goal is to get coins by playing games and exploring the area in order to unlock new areas, new multiplayer games, and new gachas. You can spend your coins on the gacha machines in order to unlock Tamagotchi characters and play as them in the multiplayer games. It seems like if it’s a B/W character your player character will only be a model of their sprite, but if it’s a color character they have a full colored 3D model

I think the idea is that each baby gets colours and eyes from the parents but everything else is determined via the field and food as usual

So if you raise a babymarutchi on land and give it lots of big meat it might grow into a meowtchi, but it’ll retain its body colour and eye shape from its parents

the adult u get depends on growth like previously. imagine u had a kuchipatchi and married him to mimitchi but then like in other tamas u cared for it in such a way to get a mametchi. so u get a mametchi, but with eyes and color of the parents

idk why people think that? I see it more as - Pokémon silver and gold came out and then we got crystal. I don't think Bandai needs to redo biomes, especially since there are so many that are left out. they could singular themes shells like they alwayyyys do. there will most likely be 1 sanrio themed shell. the 3 basic shells, plus a small sanrio island field. less adults in the 3 starter fields. could make a tropical area, a desert, a winter theme.

Tbf for DP, it was another company that made them and they were instructed to make games as close to the originals as possible. They should have gone the ORAS route or something like HeartGold/SoulSilver+FireRed/LeafGreen. Change the story and some bits, add stuff from newer gens. Or maybe fuse DP and Platinum. Platinum at release didn't really show how different and better it was meant to be, leading people to not buy it because they already had the original.

GF only had themselves to blame. I fear the next remakes. Only XY need one. The others are fine as they are!

Nah, I just mean I blame USUM because there's evidence in SM's files that they were working on a DP remake for Gen 7 which would have been the ideal way to fully close out the DS generation of games and come full circle. But because the Switch came along, they wanted to move on to it so they just did a quick turnaround "companion" title so they could make as much money off it before the 3DS was dead

I know Arceus was copying BOTW but jfc listen to the positive feedback for both and lean into stylization! Keeps the framerate down and the visual identity coherent. HOWEVER Sword and Shield was ugly, bland, and mainly charmless. So maybe their current trajectory could be superior

Nono I mean as a companion game with SM, in Gen 7's engine. DP remakes would have been the perfect way to close out the generation and the 3DS Pokémon life cycle in general, starting with DP and ending with DP.

Buuuut no we got the garbage dumpsterfire that was BDSP way later than we should have and got an immediately better love letter to Sinnoh with Legends Arceus right afterwards so

BDSP's existence is aggravating and pointless :P

Well, yes, but at least it would have been a significant upgrade in visuals, gameplay, more of a reimagined story and game in the SM engine. We literally just got a Unity port of the original DS games on Switch which run poorly, are a pain in the ass to control due to the weird 3D/2D grid movement, and have all the same problems and glitches the original games have. And that's coming from someone whose first game was Pearl and played 999+ hours alone in the first save file I had. I've played more since then, even more than Platinum which is wild cause that game is a strict upgrade XD

Needless to say I have played the original a lot and still see no point to having the Switch games because they're just, bad. It's a bad remake :(
