How do you get so clear results? I try to edit the photos with the recommended app, it looks good in it but the quality is literally the same when I save the image

I use procreate on my phone. Download the photo. Insert as a photo. Then resize the canvas to 1280 by 1280. Then increase the image size to fit the canvas and set something to “nearest”. Then I save the new images

Yes and no. Based on the manual, your Tama will update once per day, as long as Auto-Update is turned on. That will update the characters you see in the TamaVerse all day. When you go to the TamaVerse it doesn't need to connect to the internet again, it just uses those characters that it downloaded that day. If you don't let it update or ever connect to the internet it likely uses NPCs.

So according to the wiki my Bold character should like the Rocking Horse, but mine doesn't get any special hearts indicating a favorite. Same for my Orderly character and the Stuffed Animal, although that toy's animation has a lot of hearts in it. I think the people that reported these had probably become favorites by being placed, I don't think they are favorite by default. I'm still not convinced there actually are favorite toys by default.

-> As soon as your tama connects and shows the "Connected!" screen, turn off your phone's wifi (such that it disconnects from the tama)
-> Turn on wifi again and try to reconnect the tama.
-> Tama will return back to the "phone" or "device" by itself with no input.
-> Selecting "phone" causes tama to reboot

Alright so I have some potentially BIG NEWS
here's what went down

1. I raised my first tama from a pink egg normally until she was a Ditzy Mimitchi, 0 CMs (Niinitchi -> Lionetchi -> Tustustchi -> Mimitchi)
2. I took her to the Tamaverse and married her to a Gozarutchi from Japan
3. They dropped off a new pink egg, a Reserved Yooyutchi
4. I completely neglected this new Tama (this is probably not relevant but i wanted to test it) besides keeping it from dying
5. Around the time it became a child, a random present on a balloon floated down: Wasshoi Carriage. I'm assuming this was a gift from the parents.
6. As a child tama, I played with the Wasshoi Carriage about 4-5 times (not sure if this is relevant either). I also placed the Wasshoi Carriage down in the room.
7. The Tama went from Yooyutchi -> Mitsumarutchi -> Gunchitchi (Current)
   the big news?
   After evolving into Gunchitchi, It declared the Wasshoi Carriage to be its favorite item.
   It's 6pm here and it's currently sitting on the ground polishing the Wasshoi Carriage as well.
