very low maintenance which is nice cause i kept nearly killing my pix last week

i feel like the menus look a bit dated but maybe they really are just going full hog on the 90s vibe lmao. but outside of the menus everything looks really nice and polished, nice to look at

im preferring it over the smart so far but if they're gonna do dlc type stuff i'd probably have preferred physical dlc like the smart cards than digital :c it'll be a shame when they stop support for the uni

Oh and there's one game that's really easy to earn money with so that's appreciated 😂

automatic switch timers would be hard to adjust wirelessly, but if event distributable addons and items are from wifi, then some people could hack it

I am almost sure that some things will be possible to "cheat", like the items you get from purchasing the bands

yeah cheating the items should be pretty easy

full hacks is something else. needs a proper injection tool method

the visit/invite option has you put in a visit code to connect via wifi, so that's probs the best bet for it

If it's anything like the Smart or Digimon Color, the ROM chip is likely exposed when it's taken apart, so you just clip the "gator" to it, pull the data into AsProgrammer, and sift through the data til you find where the sprites are referenced. That's how the Digimon Color was hacked, a few of us have completely revamped the evolution lines and added different backgrounds lol

They're the same size for the screens. 3cmx3cm

The only difference is that the uni doesn't have curved corners on the screen like the smart does. So it's better to cut a screen protector to size rather than have gaps using a smart one

though with that said, really don't like how lingering on the egg screen automatically selects whatever the cursor's pointing at

I got a DIY yesterday! You pick an area, I guess you get a differently themed DIY based on where you chose. I got some seashell earrings from the sea wall. Then you get 20 minutes to walk and fill a progress bar (if you fill it, I think it ends the walk early but I'm not completely sure) I was only able to get one DIY yesterday, and the rest of the walks gave me crafting materials

I think it's under the door icon but I can't remember exactly

There are options like park, street, farm (minigame to get dye), sea

The uni is around 2.7 cms x 2.7 cms and the smart is the same from my measurements. It's harder to measure the smart because the faceplate sticks out beyond the screen much further

Nope! Just friction fit. There is a small notch in each where you can put in the tweezers tip and with a soft tilt, they pop right out

But that being said, I don't actually have the Uni yet and both photos I've seen of its interior design has been from this exact angle, so I can't tell how the notches look or how hard they'll be to pop out.

I'm hoping that it's easy because I like the transparent blue back of the pink, but not the pink itself so I'm wanting to paint it, and then to make it worse if it's difficult to remove, I hate the coloring on the purple's screen border so swapping over to that model instead is still an option but I'd want to change that border.

Yeah so I think the walk ends when you fill the progress bar or reach 20 minutes, and then you earn a reward which should be a crafting recipe or materials to craft with

The stuff you earn depends on the location you choose

And for the farm you collect fruits and veg to earn dye

Thanks, I was thinking to try a power bank, but I'm nervous to use anything that says over 5V output . I might just fully charge it before I leave and then leave it at home, I did the same thing with my Smart and it still had charge when I came home.

To be fair, the way Bandai does things, the first number is normally the overarching model number that applies to all of them (or an assortment in applicable toys). Then the sequential numbers are colour variations/different parts of the assortment. Meaning 9 at most here with the current numbers.
It’s super interesting there are so many.

Every time I think we've gotten something down, we're thrown off

Part of me wants to theorise that personality affects the possible adults, but I'd probably be jinxing myself

Even with the influx of pink eggs, we're still getting a wide variety of adults

Unless there's some sort of alternative evo condition system in play, this is shaping up to be nothing like the a lot of the earlier colour models where adults were exclusive to each of the teens

If they're grouped into the egg colours like the Pix then we have little idea how many are only available from which ones - and of course, how the Shimashimatchi/Yattatchi requirements affect those

Like last month when the official announcement came out, it was easy to assume that the adults would be split into three groups with the possibility of Unimarutchi being available in all three given the theories it could be male or female

Similarly, we have no idea if personalities are tied to egg colour

The guidebook's coming out two-ish weeks after the Uni does, right?

Hopefully it can spill the beans on the evo factors if we haven't figured everything out by then
