I have 10/5 crew here, because my bedroom was under my engine, next to my other bedroom. When I upgraded my hull, the bedroom no longer fit and was put into storage.
This was on accident, but if I knew what I was doing, my Command Center was also put in my storage, so there is potential to upgrade from hull 5 to hull 6 and have 10 crew but 0 bedrooms.
Since there is no additional bedroom or bedroom upgrade on Hull 6, this is actually very easy to do and there is barely any downside.
