#Ship evasion AI commands: Requesting details for the translation

- I can’t answer this because I don’t understand it myself

- Remaining evasion is just your current evasion%. It’s called your “remaining” because your ship will also have a “Max Evasion%” which varies depending on how many ENG rooms you have on board and whether they are powered. Your Max Evasion is what you start with and then your “remaining evasion” is the amount that remains after enemy missiles start hitting your ship/chipping away at your EVA.
- Because you lose evasion everytime missiles miss against you. A higher evasion above 100% means they need more hits to reduce it under 100% in order to start hitting you.
But you can still get hit by a missile occasionally even at >100% EVA can’t you
no?
im pretty sure you can hit above 100%
maybe I'm misremembering but I'm anecdotally also pretty sure I've seen missiles hit above 100 too
You can because tracking acts first then it calculates hit chance, so at 106% Eva you have a 0.5% chance to be hit by a 6.5% tracking missile
and then there's a bad luck sympathy system on top of this, right?
Im talking about when all that is accounted for obviously
If u hit above 106.5 at that scenario then it will guarantee miss
i wonder the tracking work how, if a 6.5% tracking missile so...
- Eva is 100% - 6.5%
- Eva is 100% x (1-6.5%)
which one?
Those give the same result
in 100% case is but lower than 100% it's very different
Oh, tracking is always % of current evasion, so e.g. at 50% Eva
It's 50% - 3.25%
Those string are not about all the tracking stuff so we are no going deeper on this
Now that I know what "remaing evasion" and "maximum evasion" mean (thank you all), I still doesn't know, what "evasion charge" refers to?
@sick lily is "charges" a word that has a real meaning or can it be removed from this string?
actually i think that might be an obsolete term for one of the earlier versions of the evasion system. But for accuracy sake please just translate it as is in case we reuse it
this was when evasion system used "charges" to determine how many times the ship can evade a hit
if it's obsolete it must be archived/hidden, we don't want to lose time translating unused stuff
however those are still visible in game in AI commands, I surrounded in red where "evasion charge" is used in description, it's the same for Enemy Ship Evasion
