So i played a little bit of Echos but after that i basically quit the game. But given the recent news i really wanna experience Destiny for the verey last time and because the first Pantheon was SO much fun i rlly wanna play the 2. one.

Im not that up to date about the recent updates but i think the Lightlevel was "reset" at some point? And the entre Armor system was updated and i rlly know nothing about that.

So my request is, could someone give me "run-down" about the important changes that happend recently AND what i need to do in order to be at least a little bit prepared for the enew Pantheon. I dont need to be up-to-date on ther Meta and what not but i dont wanna hold my team back in the Pantheon.

Starting with weapon, tier 1s are the basic weapons you'd get as world drops, tier 2s are the equivalent of crafted weapon, with just enhanced perks in column 3 and 4

Tier 3s get double (enhanced) perks in column 3 and 4

#

Tier 4s get enhanced perks in all columns except for the origin trait and get enhanced weapon mods

#

Tier 5s get triple perks and enhanced origin traits on top of the t4 benefits

#

Armor now has set bonuses, exclusive to each armor set, bonuses are divided into 2 piece and 4 piece bonuses, each varying in quality

#

Tiers just increase the base stat total of the armor with t5s being guaranteed 75 stat total with an extra stat mod slot called tuning slot

#

Each t5 armor piece will have one of its stats be selected as the tuned stat

#

The tuning slot allows you to either raise that selected stat by 5 points at the cost of 5 points from any stat of your choosing

Or raise the stat point of the non primary/secondary/tertiary stat on that piece specifically by 1 point each at no cost

#

Armors also now have archetypes, basically there's a limited amount of stat combinations, each has a unique primary stat (which maxes out at 30 points)

A secondary stat (which maxes out at 25 points)

And a tertiary stat (which maxes out at 20 points), which is random, unlike primary and secondary which are determined from the archetype

Also higher tier armor now has 11 energy points rather than 10 compared to old armor, which means you can slot in more expensive mods

That's about it for the changes to weapons and armor

With the pre renegades portal loot hopefully coming back the few weapons you should focus on are mint retrograde (micro missile frame rocket pulse in the kinetic slot, must have for damage phases of all kinds as of now) and psi aeterna (same as mint but in the energy slot, currently farmable)

Other interesting weapons might be the smg, fusion and area denial frame gl from solstice (yeartide apex, the beacon and festival flight) and the currently farmable one from the portal (motif-41)

If you want a sword adjacent option i can recommend wolfsbane, comes from the exotic mission heliostat, basically a better lament
