Pair lucky pants with crimson to build stacks and uncivil discourse (special handcannon from renegade activities) and you're golden. Easily the highest boss dps build in the game right now

Skills are way more useful for hunters than any weapons for ad-clear. Grapple melee build with class item (soil + cyrtarachne) and ascension clears ads faster than any build other than warlock's multiple buddies one
Grapple melee is also a top tier boss dps build if you've navigator (with catalyst) but lucky pants + crimson + uncivil discourse is better imo and also cover cases where you can't get to the boss (like witness)
