#When should I actually raid now?

What I think is right:
- Do one full clear per character each week for the weekly challenge bonuses and a shot at the raid Exotic at the end.
- After that, you can farm specific encounters if you’re chasing certain weapons/armor rolls.
not 100% sure on these correct me if I'm wrong
also not sure if I'm missing anything
all pre edge of fate raid (and dungeon) exotics are farmable now, and since there is no weekly rotator you can do whatever you want, whenever you want, as long as you got enough people for it
the second point is correct for everything outside of last wish, which doesn't have encounter specific loot, as in you can get everything from any encounter with no exceptions
the only raid with the weekly lockout is desert perpetual (both versions)
correct me if I'm wrong but with the Desert Perpetual Raid
If you full clear, you can run it again and keep farming drops. The only things you’ll have to wait until next week for on that specific character are the Weekly Challenge reward and the raid Exotic roll.
is this correct? I'm not 100% sure
i assume you're talking about getting higher light drops, because every encounter is also farmable on its own without needing repeated full clears
not sure if the change to where you can get repeated higher light drops is already implemented in game or if it's coming during this month
but about the exotic being a weekly lockout is 100% correct
yeah getting higher light drops
I heard it's not as efficient compared to portal so I'm trying to figure out when people like to farm it
and why the first clear per character per week would be worth it, is it just loads of drops assuming you get the raid exotic already?
people don't farm the raid for light level increases, they farm it with 3 or more feats active to get high tier loot (4 and above)
and since raid loot tier isn't influenced by anything other than feats you can farm it whenever you want
the first full run on a character in a week gives an extra drop at the end of each encounter, 100% on the last one but could also be in the other encounters
ah I see, does this apply to each character once or is it account wide?
should be for each character, i haven't run the raid on all characters outside of final encounter for a chance at getting the exotic so i haven't really tested it
+now that i have the exotic i don't even need to use my hunter
im curious why don't you run the raid on each character every week anymore?
compared to the old system where you would want to for each character's power
is it because power is account wide now hence it's only "worth it" to do so on one character? Unless of course you want the raid exotic then the final encounter 3 times makes sense
and with that in mind, are doing the weekly challenges on each character not worth it then?
because 1) light level drops are based on your overall account power, and every source in the game gives the same exact gains 2) the only reason to run the raid on different characters would be to have a good raid armor set on all characters and to try and get the exotic, both of which i don't care
no because you don't have a limited amount of weekly power increase drops anymore
you can do it if you want but if you're strictly going for power drops then running the raid multiple times doesn't make sense
if you want to farm for loot/spoils of conquest/upgrade materials that's a different story
but in general once you've run the raid once on a character it makes sense to stay on said character and to keep farming there for loot
ah I see
so considering I don't care about the raid exotic and I just want fast T5 loot, then I go back to farming portal, the main idea for me is like this???
I'll do the raid weekly challenge once on my hunter with 3 Feat, then just go back to portal grinding lol
when I'm more confident and learned the mechanics, I can also do 1 weekly clear on Epic on my hunter since the 2nd challenge is unlocked
I think I've got it all right, does that make sense?
you can farm the raid whenever you want with 3 or more feats and guarantee tier 4 loot, tier 5 if you're lucky or you do 5 feat
there's something I'm starting to realize, later on when you increase in power and T5 Gear becomes super accessible, then what's the point of running 3-5 Feat Raids on normal/Epic
you can get the same quality of loot from Keplar's loot cave and portal for less effort and time right?
does that make the raid Obsolete in terms of Loot Quality and Power Gains at later power?
only once you get to 350 and above power
in terms of power gains the raid isn't worth running yes, in terms of loot quality like weapon rolls and so on the raid is very much worth running
ooooh I get it now
Portal for Raw power grinding efficiency, Raid Simply because the loot Quality is good, that's it plain and simple
ok cool, that makes sense, tysm
void support auto, best smg for pks damage, best stasis rocket in the game (best rocket overall if you exclude haliaetus grenade spam rotations and hezen), one of if not the best fusion for parasite rotations
no problem
I'm wondering, is the raid loot truly that good?
I had a look at some of the perks and combination, are these considered the better weapons in the game in general?
.
perhaps I'm underestimating the raid loot, but it seems like a very light incentive to do the raid
this is what i mostly care about from the raid loot right now
no problem :D
I'm so stuck on the old system and their incentives that it makes this new system confusing for me
it was simpler back then 😭
also, don't listen to people like Zer0 who keep saying tha game is dead, make your own opinions about the game
definitely not dw
everything is more fun when you don't have someone whining in your ear about it
I'm playing till the servers shutdown xd
facts
I have another question about the later in the game
let's say I'm at the point where T5 loot is Accessible almost everywhere
the raid is still worth it because it's T5 Loot is better than the other T5 loot in the Game correct?
hence it's still worth it to do the raid later on
some exceptions of course e.g. Mint Retrograde etc....
raid loot tiers is not affected by power level in any way
it only depends on how many feats you have active
yeah ik, it's based on feats 3-5
once you get high enough you can run whatever you want for whatever loot you want
the raid is funnily enough the easiest way to get tier 5s if you don't bother with the power climb
I'm asking if the T5 raid loot is still worth it considering the effort and time, considering other sources also Drop T5 Loot
fair that's sums up alot
armor set bonus on the raid armor (original not the new one) is very good if you're on strand/solar, and the weapons i've listed are very good
after that it all comes down to what you personally want to chase
I see
if you're not using arc or pks you probably won't care about the smg, if you prefer hali rotations you won't care about the stasis rocket and so on
it's so preference based now, nothing seems clearly the better option over the other compared to before in older times
what is pks btw?
peacekeepers, titan leg exotic that increases SMG damage
ah kk
