I've already managed to collect the secret strangelets on mythic and it says I have two of the campaign mission strangelets done, but whenever I try to do the two flagged missions in gorge and outer steppes neither of them award me with a strangelet.

No matter how many times I do the mission, it does not check the box for either, so I think my quest is stuck.
Is anyone else having this problem?

Thank you for saying it - I did the gorge - with a friend and most definitely brought the strangelet back and placed it - but it has never been marked as completed. How many times will we have to do it?

Try this. Journey -> Triumphs -> Kepler -> World / Secrets -> Mythic missions. If any of the 4 missions are not checked, please do those once. Wording in quest is terrible
If top 4 missions are checked green, collect 4 stranglets from open world, one in each region and can be collected once
