Do you need the Year of Prophecy edition to have access to the Reclaim Event tab in the portal? It’s not showing up for me

There is no tab. There should be 3 fireteam activities in portal - usually in top row. There was a 1 week event similar to arms week during launch week, you may have seen those screenshots

Other than 2 event specific weapons, there wasn't anything special there you're missing
