Ive been running pinnale ops with my friend. I am 420 light and I helped him grind to 300 from 200. My projected rank was low B+ on grandmaster which made his projected score an A. Now that he reached 300 it seems his projected rank is lower than mine which I think makes no sense.

Your friend needs to worry about their own score multiplier. Highest light gear / featured gear equipped. This is completely seperate from the activity score multiplier you set as host

yes and i already know that but what i was wondering was why he was able to get A easily before and all of a sudden his projected is like a C+ now

Pre LL 300 is bronze 1-5 rewards, post 300 is silver 1-5. He needs better personal score multiplier to get better rewards at silver. OR more modifiers.
imagine bronze needs 500k points to get A. and silver needing 750k points to get A. Something has to increase, either LL of gear equipped or modifiers.
