Hi, I’m a returning player since Witch Queen. With all the system changes, are my old weapons/armor still relevant? I spent time grinding for good rolls but don’t know if they matter now. Any advice on vault cleanup and how to approach the game without drowning in junk?

Id hate to delete a good roll of desirable piece of armor or weapon but the returning player experience is a chore to say the least and would love to figure out how to delete junk and understand whats still relevant enough to keep.

Any armor piece with high super+weapon is a must keep until you can get tier 3 and above armor, anything else is more than likely replaceable by a good rolled tier 2 piece
Make a temporary build with the old armor and gradually swap it out with new armor
Old weapons are still relevant
Or rather the tier system doesn't make anything older automatically irrelevant
Anything in the kinetic slot is basically worthless compared to mint retrograde but that's because the weapon is strong, not because it's part of the new system

You'll most likely not keep any new armor you've not equipped while levelling up until you start getting T5s. Same goes for weapons. Swap out to new gear as early as feasible to speed up levelling
Which means you probably don't have to clean up vault until quite later as getting to T4/5 drops will take significant grinding
