I just purchased the year of prophecy expansion and the game is like not registering it, when I try to load into the campaign it says “Requires Destiny 2: The Edge of Fate”

Yes. Multiple times I also uninstalled and reinstalled and restored licenses and nothing is working

Navigate to Destiny 2 in library -> settings -> DLC, check if DLC is installed. If not, problem is with steam. Check if you've added the keys etc. if you brought out side steam, reach out to steam customer support if nothing works

If it shows installed, launch Destiny 2, open store, expansions. Check if year of prophecy shows as active or not

I’m on PlayStation. Restored licenses, uninstalled and reinstalled the game, I’ve received all of the rewards but it’s not giving me the edge of fate content
