I am not sure how to get the class exotic. I heard something about clearing events in the pale heart and clearing dual destiny, could anyone explain and/or help me clear it?

you need to do the exotic mission dual destiny to unlock it (i would advise to look up a guide, since there are a couple steps for it), after unlocking it you can also get it from xur or from overthrow chests

for the quest itself yes, though you can unlock the quest solo (or in a fireteam)

you need to have done all three overthrows once before they start spawning

I did the blooming one and it spawned, I thought I never did it before
