My friend recently downloaded d2 and I want to help him enjoy it but don't know where to start. What do you guys suggest?

get up to light with the gift of the nine, then try out some dungeons maby, or if he has the dlcs play through the campaigns to get the subclasses and such
otherwise getting an idea of what exotics/builds you wish to try out is also important, but kinda hard to do imo since the guides are all kinda specific

if he has dlc (you can get them for really cheap on cdkeys or instant gaming) put him through the campaigns on legend
its how my friends got me started out :)

It's not too much - a few days of content should be enough for him to form an opinion on the game

get him eager edge and ttach him shatterskating after you get the subclass
makes the game 1000% more enjoyable if you do that
