Is it possible a balance between Destiny 2 and other games?

The title is self explanatory. Since i started to play, people described me this game as a full time job, full of FOMO, where you must keep up with content, crucial gear and meta to not being cut out forever from activities

What can i do?

Just my opinion, but honestly it depends on how you play. Yeah, the gear keeps evolving and there’s always some new broken stuff, but unless you’re doing high-end content like low-mans or master raids it doesn’t matter that much. Most of it is just min-maxing.

Even without the latest loot, you can still handle almost every activity just fine. So don’t overthink it. And if people gatekeep you because you don’t have some specific weapon or roll they’re probably not worth playing with anyway.

High-end content (like master raids) is something every true player (not the big 90% who don't even play the game at all bc no raids) steps in at one point

In general i play campaigns, related stuff, seasonal content if i need resources or if the weapons are interesting to me (example: i skipped Revenant bc i didn't like them), raids, dungeons and GMs, and make builds i'm interested in (or forced bc of sandbox)

But idk at this point. I still don't even know the nature of the game

Yeah, for endgame meta builds help no doubt. most of the meta builds dont heavily rely on weapons anyway.
then it comes down to dps you either have the newest weapon or something older that is like 10% worse or just an exo alternative

Well, the builds i choose are usually meta or good ones in general... Same for DPS weapons, except cases like Queensbreaker where i'm forced...

What do i do atp if i want to balance Destiny and other games?

idk. i always managed to do it by just playing what i enjoy the most. if it was only destiny then only destiny. it gets pretty boring after a few months because there is nothing to do

If you're really dedicated and optimized you can keep destiny optimal with 2-3 days a week

Anything less would probably too hard to really grind/farm for decent rolls of new guns

Yeah destiny can be done both ways. 40h per week is easily doable but also with like 10h you'll be fine

Its just the lower you go with your hours, the less you should expect to be able to play/ perform really good in. just like any other game
