you can get navigator, but not the catalyst

you can get it from the quest given by the emissary, the one that gives the chance to choose between navigator, hierachy or the gjally caty

i think you also get 1 chance per character per week to get it as a random drop

but you can't get the caty in the rite version of gotd

Get the navigator. Even if bungie makes gotd free with next dlc release, farming for exotic is rng and a pain. Catalyst is a guaranteed mini-quest if you have the weapon

Maybe the rite of the nine version allows me to still get it???

No it doesn’t. I’m in the same boat and did the catalyst quest on eternity, didn’t get the catalyst. Some other folks here have confirmed the same
