I've been running heroic public events with glimmer booster on the ghost, glimmer tonic and glimmer focus on my tome of want, is there any better ways to get glimmer?

If you have episode echoes, breach executable activity. Focus on picking up data stuff on the floor and dunking it. 500k in ~30 mins.

If you have glimmer tonics aswell that'll speed it up

I second the breach executable suggestion. Nets you ~40k glimmer per run, is on-demand (unlike public events) and you can focus echoes engrams to get possibly the best legendary armor
