Do you drop it to do dps and then just pick it up again so it doesnt despawn and wipe the team or are you supposed to hold it?

but make sure you dont drop it in front of the team cuz the relic has collision and will block shots and stuff

Drop it either behind or to the side of your team, do some damage and pick it up and hold it for a second. If you insta drop after picking up it won't reset the timer.

If you're in a competent team, the person marked for detainment will pick it back up and break themselves out away from the team.

#

If you're in an LFG hold onto it and if you're marked just run at the boss with it.
