they made the drop chance low cause people were macro afk farming it

They lowered it from the generic chests and increased it from the overthrow related ones to compensate

It's there but 1-2%, have randomly got 2 till date including yesterday from random chests. Xur has exotic class items every 2nd week or so, easier to farm strange coin and roll till you get the right traits. Don't forget to attune first

When I complete overthrows, I average 1 class item a run. If unlucky 1 in 2 runs.

I've legit never got a class item from overthrow and I just grinded for the khvostov exotic 2 weeks back, must have done ~50 overthrows for the series

Solo overthrow or matchmade? I did entirely solo

Both, just make sure it's in the match made / featured area (the one that drops ergo sums when you hover over it).

On the off chance have you done "Dual Destiny" exotic mission? Overthrows won't drop class items until you have.

Yes, have done dual destiny. I've only done solo overthrows so maybe thats why I never got class item. Either way it's quicker to just get from Xur

Do you loot secret chests as you go, the more you progress overthrows the more frequently they drop from secret chests. But yeah, xur faster if you have tokens
