Red Borders Bugged

I'm not sure if this is a bug but I had two patterns, aberrant action and word of Crota, both at 4/5 patterns and after focusing both and dismantling the red border my progress remained at 4/5 patterns. Has anyone else had this happen?

if you infused a red border into another weapon I think that doesn't give you the pattern. only thing I can think of in your case

1. Bungie’s website itself for the crafting guide mentions you can dismantle red borders.

2. Putting it into google (like you often tell people to do all the time but cannot seem to do yourself) one of the first results is a YouTube video from 2 years ago showing someone dismantling a kings fall red borders and getting the pattern

3. In their feb 14 2023 article, they say “in season 18, we added the ability to obtain pattern progress and resonant elements by dismantling a deep sight weapon.

Maybe he infused it. Or he dismantled a weapon from before the changes were made. But it is in fact a system that’s has been around for almost 2 years
