Is the Crota's final boss Jackpot (20 fragments) a farmable drop when the raid is featured?

Hello!

I was wondering if the crotas jackpot drop (20 fragments) was farmable when the raid was the featured weekly raid? If not are any of the fragment drops famable when it's the featured raid? What would be the best way to get the 20 from the raid itself, not from the triumphs?

I know that you get one for a full completion, as well as a chance from each encounter completion. Is the full completion fragment drop farmable? Is it only farmable when it's the featured raid? Is it only once per week per character? Information online has been very mixed.

Yeah the crota 'jackpot' is farmable, but they need to be full raids. Also any further completions of encounters have a chance to drop essence

the best way is to just do all triumphs and challenges (challenges on master) to remove most of the rng and waiting to get 35 essences for necrochasm+catalyst

this raid has very easy challenges

the only hard triumph is 1st encounter triumph

Only farmable when featured

You can do it once a week every week but you can only farm it repeatedly when it's featured

ok and to clarify when it is featured you can get both the whole run completion drop as well as the chance encounter drops as many times as you want

It can be more than 2 per run since oversoul can drop from any encounter but that's rng

Ok nice, do we have any information on the drop rates? I'm trying to decide if I should just do a crota checkpoint farm to try and get the lottery drop during featured week

the jackpot only drops on full clears

doing crotaa CPs only drops essence like any other encounter

No official rates, Bungie doesn't like giving out numbers

drop rates are low. we have 1 person in a 50ppl clan that got that to happen

If I had to guess it should be less likely than dropping any other raid exotic at 0 drop chance boosts

Ohh that makes sense. So what would you guys recommend doing during farmable week? Just doing full runs over and over again or grinding one multiple times really fast

your best chance of farming essence is doing full repeated clears within the week that it is featured in

During farmable weeks first of all get all triumphs and challenges done if possible, then keep doing fulls

Since each encounter can drop 1 might as well do fulls

The raid has a different approach to getting the exotic+catalyst compared to the rest so it took a while to to figure it out

But it's a lot better imo than other raids cuz it has a guaranteed way to get the exotic and actively encourages doing triumphs and challenges

Also, 1 advice I would like to give you if you ever go for featherlight (1st encounter Triumph), get a full set of raid armor so you can have multiple mods that reduce the drained of light debuff

It is by no means needed but makes it easier
