Sundered doctrine stuck on step 6

I’m stuck on step 6 for the sundered doctrine quest on all 3 characters. I collected the 6 worms that I need and became initiated but the “hive grief worm” code isn’t working. The witness gives darkness does for some reason, and I tried doing it again but nothing happened

I also tried abandoning the quests and picking them up again but that did nothing
