#I feel completely inept on Warlock

Hello, I am trying to play solar warlock for its movement techs and “survivability” in end game content. I am generally a hunter player that enjoy shatter skating everywhere and all the fun techs with Hunter but when I play warlock I feel completely brain dead.

I die constantly and don’t understand how people have constant resto and cure. My movement feels horrendous with strafe glide and I feel like a floating useless sack of potatoes in the sky. I don’t understand how to keep restoration up and or just play warlock in general.

I enjoy hunter but can’t help feel intrigued and intimidated by an insanely good warlock I want to learn warlock but I can’t grasp how to be a good warlock or even a decent one with over 200 hours into warlock alone

In general, solar isn’t as strong as it used to be. Heat rises aspect, consume grenade and phoenix dive gives x2 resto. Ember of empyrean allows you to maintain resto with solar weapon kills for perma healing.

Otherwise, karnsteins exotic gloves. Finisher = x2 resto, melee kill = x1. Chain healing with ember of empyrean.

Run burst glide, strafe is only better when floating with heat rises.

and that’s where I feel i struggle a lot. Is I’m really only interested in solar warlock. I enjoy some bits of prismatic but couldn’t be any less interested in using turrets or anything like that.

So in a sense I’ve locked myself into solar and I’ve tried every build under the moon and still feel useless.

What kind of content do you want to do?

I am mostly a dungeon runner

I don’t do many raids because of the amount of people you need

As well, I don’t have many people to play with

Solar is alright for that, until you get the hang of it. Crutch karnsteins exotic, just get a melee kill for resto and cure.

It’s such a weird feeling, I love Hunter but just today saw a warlock video of a SOLO FLAWLESS MASTER RON. Like who is doing that? And even more, who is doing that on Hunter lmfao

You’ll notice solar is only used for one encounter because of wellskate, solar is really power crept compared to prismatic and is generally only used for movement or well dps.

Still solar is fun, look up some guides if what I said didn’t help
