Just came back to the game after a few years. Can anyone explain to me how to get enhanced traits on weapons? I keep seeing players with enhanced traits on Rose or Redrix but I don’t know how to get them.

Enhanced traits are gotten by inspecting a weapon, and one of the options along the bottom (where the 'Weapon mods' text is), the right most option allows you to spend enhancement cores to enable 'enhancement'. then either spend more resources or use the weapon to level it up, and at specific levels it will allow you to 'upgrade' the enhancement to allow for the traits to be enhanced.
It's alot of use of the word 'enhanced', but it boils down to: enable weapon leveling in the inspection screen, then use the weapon alot. Level 20 is the point where all enhanced traits unlock on a weapon.

Thanks this is helpful. Do you have to obtain certain version of these weapons to do this? I’ve gotten several version of Rose and Redrix but don’t have the ability to do this, so I wonder what I’m missing. The only slots I have at the bottom are masterwork and mods

It's likely your versions dropped before The Final Shape, and that means that it cannot be enhanced. Anything you earn from the moment you got back though will be available to be enhanced (with few exceptions, like craftable weapons).
