Just got it on 5th clear and tryna see it’s usefulness

Got buffed this season for 30% dmg increase, plus artifact mods, so definitely give a try

Well the damage increase is flat-out but yes, the artifact mods only apply when you reach the perk at the end

Well this server isnt letting me post a picture but bungie's update 8.2.0 article, released february 4th, states that fusion rifles got a 30% buff against minors, majors, minibosses and champions.

And as a game-classified fusion rifle, it falls under that catagory. There is also nothing mentioned in that article implying that vex was excluded from that buff. Additionally, I ran a raid on tuesday where someone was fawning over how good it felt. Not that that is evidence, but...

Which is great and all, but of all the raid weapons that needed buffs to feel more viable, vex doesnt really make the top 3 in my eyes.
