you can get the catalyst without it but that is dependent on someone else getting a checkpoint with the catalyst chest for you

I'm asking because I use the twitch bot that gives me this chest every week for the 3 free focuses and icebreaker whenever I go for it. So I have access to that. Would there be any point doing the quest still?

back when these was only garbage loot and all you needed was mountaintop and recluse. It was fun because then I could actually play what I want. Instead of needing to do a bunch of stuff to get meta loot to do contest instead of enjoying what I want

there's a lot of stuff in this game that I like doing, but I need to get the loot first, and doing that takes a long while. After I get it all done, I can do the stuff I like.

theres no activity for which you „need“ anything from the dungeon or the current season at all for that matter

getting slightly better but mostly crap new weapons just to use in other activities is insanity

also I took a year long break I needed to get a lot of stuff

plus also farm materials etc
