Best place to use tonics?

Hey im trying to figure out which activity is the best to use tonics in

if it's a gear tonic, any activity that you can do quick or has plenty of chests you can get in the limit (i'm assuming you're using the hour long potions), so onslaught is pretty good, maybe ron or dsc, spire or warlord's

for the volatile ones, really depends on your situation; i'd say if you use GLs a lot, then pop the potion that buffs the weaken GL artifact perk before the first combat starts

i don't really think you need to funnel them too hard, the materials aren't hard to come by
