#what is the general rule of thumb for masterworks for each individual weapon type?

For pve you almost always wanna go for handling
For pvp, idk don't ask me (i would imagine its either range or stability though)
There are some exceptions of course. One i can immediately think of is zaouli's bane where reload mw is more desirable due to its abnormally slow reload compared to its archetype
I had always thought range for just about anything in PvP.
So what about fusion and linear fusion. I had always thought charge time to be the best choice. Then for bow, draw time. Is this the case @sudden wind
yeah, bows 100% of the time draw time
fusions is a mix of stability or charge time. depends on the perks
Charge time is good as well kinda comes down to personal preference
Handling > everything else
Faster draw, stow and ADS time
which is good for dmg rotations
and pvp
i just like high handling on my weapons
high handling is what makes a gun feel snappy and smooth
low handling makes a gun feel sluggish
not to mention, stability has little to no use if you have half decent aim, and reload has diminishing returns to the point that theres no point in investing into it more past using one loader mod
