Other resources online say doing the mission once unlocks it for other characters. Which is my experience.

you're right Ishlan, the unlocking only needs to be done once, then you have to do it on each class to unlock random drops.

Mission needs to be done at least once, on the character you want the class item on. If you want to be able to get it from chest
