each cyst has a paired cyst with it. If you head to the bird that leads you to the cyst then there should be a 2nd bird close by that you can interact with that does NOT leave. Interacting swaps out the cyst
birds are not exactly on the same spot so make sure to look around

The Cysts have their guide birds in the same general area. So to alleviate confusion, only one (1) Cyst is active in each area, however, each area has a total of 2 cysts.
To swap the active Cyst, there is a persistent Guide Bird with an interact prompt in each area that allows you to swap the active cyst once both are unlocked for a given area.
