#What/how should I prepare for raids?
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
get good gear and a good build ig
You can do all raids with any gear
First learn basic in yt, second join sherpa run, third keep playing until you understand whole mechanic
gear are optional anyways you can use damaged traveller choosen at the witness bosses
God i hate the word count limit so much
Bring a heavy weapon that matches the surge and encounter type.
Dont use a sword and shotgun against the witness and dont dps with a machine gun for exemple
Have a good rocket launcher on you at all times if someone is using gjallarhorn.
U might need to ignore the message above me
Why wouldn't you choose to do this? The only good heavy roll I have is a machine gun 😭
There r no surges in regular content anymore
I didn't realize that thread existed
No surges in normal raids
if your looking for dps most of the time rockets are used so if you just be G horn dude then your fine
if linears become better in the future sleeper is not the best but will keep you coverd in that regard to
Any ol rocket launcher works better than a machine gun
You can also farm a decent edge transit from onslaught.
Oh great, cant even post links now
Just look up aegis on youtube, the guy makes informative videos on what is actually good in end game content
I mean i have not done any testing or seen the numbers myself so I cannot comment but even if that is true the large amount of LFGs are under informed and will not like GLs if there doing rockets
- getting apex crafted is easier than getting a viable edge transit or something so for starters I would still say rockets personally
I think most lfgs r aware gls r better now
i hope so, been a long time since they were very strong
like before lightfall at least
I have not raided in a few weeks so was not sure is it not stilll hunt apex anymore?
I just assumed we were talking mostly the latest raid as well
for hunter's this is still the best loadout
I love when yall just have conversations with yourselves
I need Sherpa
Rockets were strongest in lightfall
raids are super easy youll be fine you can be carried
as in go in with green or white gear no one will bat an eyelid
Honestly I'd jump in with whatever you have saved up. A good sherpa will be able to carry you through while still teaching you.
Really the only thing separating mid from endgame is knowledge. Both of the activity and your build/class.
And as they say, practice makes perfect. So the more knowledgeable you are with each raid the better you get at until you can tackle it with any gear equipped
Still have to watch a guide tho
i wouldnt necessarily say a guide is needed. ive been sherpa'd blind through the majority of d2 raids and was fine in each run
and i found it wayyy easier than learning via a youtube video
