I am not understanding damage formula and defeating champs in expert lost sector.

You stun the champs to kill them

So for an example, if I stun a champ and I play on surge, using weapons that are effective and getting boost, is this the best way to tackle master solo lost sectors etc?

Presently I am using the call and I feel I should swap to vorpal on it for champs.

champs are like minibosses, you don't use a small special on it. you have a timer too. pop the champ and heavy dump it

That explains it. When I use for an example my side arm to stun a champ, I must follow up with a skill to keep it from moving? I.E. cold or jolt or something?
