The best way to start is to literally pick a Raid, pick a voice channel, and post what you're looking for in #find-a-sherpa
(e.g. LFS for Crota's End, Fireteam Chat 10)
Once you start the raid and your sherpa explains, remember that no question is stupid and to repeat back the steps you're doing so sherpa can correct you
